Are we questioning the sanity of believing in a god or gods now? Is that what we're doing?

Religious headgear in license photos: Muslim hijab okay, Pastafarian colander not okay?

"The law stipulates you can have something on your head ... but you have to have your entire face uncovered and if the headgear is being worn it has to have some religious significance," Mr Albon said.

Sometime after having this photo taken for a firearm license, Mr Albon had police visit, take his firearms away and sent him off to a psychiatrist to see if he was fit to have firearms.

Amusingly, one of the things he was asked was if he heard voices.
I wonder what the answer would be if he told them that his god, the FSM, spoke to him in his prayers?
A South Australian atheist who successfully had his gun licence printed with a photo of him wearing a colander on his head has been forced to undertake a psychological test to prove he is fit to own firearms.

Eventually the bands will decay and snap; so I can see value in replacing them... but that is a problem for a future hacker to deal with!

Awesome work +Michael Fagan.

Burnt my thumb on the head of a tek screw Tuesday night. This it what it looked like about 24hrs later. Had it sitting in water for most of Tuesday night which kept it cool enough to not keep cooking.

Hope you filled-in an incident report.

Maybe it's time to build a replacement robotic thumb?

The urbans are milling around. I'm guessing there's not a lot of work to do.

I was all ready to give G+ a try for pushing my photos until I read that there's no automagic way to do it from lightroom.

You basically have to live a google life in order for everything to be automagic

I put together the SolarRoboFlower that Flo from #metalab and hackerspaceshop.com sent me. It's currently on #makehackvoid 's meeting table waiting for someone to find it a permanent 5v supply.

Ah ok. I always use chip sockets when I solder, I'm too scared to burn up the chips. I haven't tried lead-free solder yet, as I'm still using a cheap Radio Shack iron.

I'm the author of the free "Demystifying the TLC5940" book, and I just finished adding multiplexing support to the library, though I haven't updated the book yet. If you have a way to reprogram the fuse bits on your Arduino, you can use the library. It can drive 16 RGB LEDs using a single TLC5940, or 48 if you daisy-chain three chips, though the brightness does get reduced to 1/3rd. It can also operate in non-multiplexed mode.

The latest version of the book and code are always available free here: demystifying the tlc5940 | artcfox

For the new multiplexing code and schematic, download the multiplexing-beta.zip file in addition to src.zip.

Good luck! And let me know if you have any questions.
