Fantastic new article about the ever-so-talented Aoife Scott - take a look , and listen.

Rising Irish musician Aoife Scott offers a debut album filled with songs which tell good stories, and a beautiful voice in which to sing them... #Ireland   +Wandering Educators  #music
Aoife Scott's debut album, Carry the Day, shows a songwriter and singer with a voice of distinctive character, an ear for good story, and the ability to bring these together in ways that draw the listener in, and invite repeated listenings.

My latest over at +Dominique King 's site, Midwest Guest - time traveling millions of years back - by visiting the glacial grooves at Kelley's Island, on Lake Erie.
We got a quick glimpse of a few glacial grooves when we visited Gibraltar Island near Put-in-Bay in Ohio's Lake Erie Shores and Islands region. We've yet to visit the nearby Kelley's Island to see the Ohio's Glacial Grooves Memorial,...

Fantastic story by +Kerry Dexter - with song, of course!

Scotland's storyteller in song: Archie Fisher  at +Wandering Educators
+VisitScotland
Music from contemporary songwriters, from traditional sources, from his own composing: this is what you will find on Archie Fisher's recording A Silent Song. That is a mix he has been stirring across his career. Now in his mid seventies, Fisher finds that music still draws him on. "It has only occurred to me relatively recently that the incentive to keep doing it is hearing that new song," he says.

Have you been to a European Christmas Market? What did you love most?
Even the words European Christmas markets bring a smile to my face, and a head full of travel plans. I get dreamy, thinking of wandering the paths between rows of booths twinkling with lights, a mug of steaming hot yumminess in my hands, surrounded by the fresh scent of pine and roasted chestnuts, and the crisp night air nipping at my cheeks.

LOVE this. Our Wildlife Refuges are incredible places.

Celebrating Nat'l Refuge Week: here's a a whirlwind visual tour of national wildlife refuges. LOVE! USFWS Refuge System
National wildlife refuges have been part of America's natural heritage since President Theodore Roosevelt established the first one in 1903 on Florida's tiny Pelican Island. National Wildlife Refuge Week - October 9-15 this year - celebrates the wonders of our natural world.
