We have been selected for the Sawday's Guide.
'More than just a bed for the night'

We believe in what we do, passionately and honestly. We love all things local and independent, and seek out quirkiness and creativity. We reject the bland, the corporate and the impersonal. We select only the most special places and owners.

This is our 1st year trading as a b&b here in rural France so we are still learning, I would like the groups opinion on room security.
We had a couple this evening that were horrified that we do not have keys for our 2 b&b rooms, the rooms have door bolts on the inside but it is not possible to lock the room from the outside when going out. This is the first guest to question this policy.
We are not in the city and are in a very low crime area, we only have 2 rooms and have never had an issue with theft.
When doing our research before setting up found that many b&bs in rural France do not provide room keys.
Can I have an opinion from a few seasoned pros please.
