Excellent food and drink selection. Came here for brunch and loved it. The omelet with home fries was fantastic.

One of my favorite places to eat and have a pint in Philly. Best burgers in the city and a great selection of beers.

Great beer selection, great food, great staff, prices are high enough that I just go for special occasions.

The host had a crustache and a snoody look on his face when we arrived. My friend and I got the impression that he felt superior to us. He definitely made us feel a little uncomfortable with his glaring and judgemental looks but we quickly realized that was common amongst other guests too. The waitress was a delight initially and took great care of us. The food came out accurately and tasted great. The big problems came when our check arrived. The waitress gave us one check for a party of 7 (including 3 couples and 1 other guest). She asked us to split our own check which caused great confusion due to a missing item on the total bill (a supposed $5.25 up charge for adding chicken). This up charge was on the total but not on our check. About an hour later, after math and staff got involved, it was finally figured out. We were all thoroughly disappointed by this point. Great food but the establishment needs to update the register software to this century. Also, some of the staff needs to be set straight.

Some of their waiters/bartenders can be a little irate or rude, but this bar is a fantastic community spot. Their menu is designed around their large selection of European beers, and everything from the food to the beer delivery is extremely high quality. The fries and accompanied sauce are very savory and slightly spicy. The mussels are about two dozen, and come served with your choice of a variety of vegetable and seafood sides. The entrees are great, with a wide variety of ingredients being incorporated. On the beer front, this bar has more varieties of beer than you probably know about. There's a few beers from many western European countries, a few more than average from Germany, and many from Belgium. They also carry a great selection of American craft beers. Finally, their prices are fantastic. You can tell that they try to offer the lowest price possible per beer, and their delivery is absolutely fantastic. They will in 95% of cases use the glass recommended by the brewery and I've never received a bad pour. This is my favorite bar in my area, the only downside to it is that if it's pretty empty they'll close at 11, 11:30.

Love it. The food is superb the beer selection is some of the greatest. If you're in the area this is the place to go and it doesn't get overcrowded like it's sister-bar, monks

One of my favorite places in Fairmount! Their bottle section is obviously Belgian heavy but is very vast. My wife and I really love the mussels here and most specials and sandwiches have been very tasty. Sit outside and enjoy the weather if you can!

Great beer selection and typically a nice ambiance. The bar area is very classic and the outside seating is fantastic. The service is typically great, but there is a bartender or two who can be less than friendly.
