Cutting the cord: Antenna vs. Cable and DirecTV
Most of my readers already know that I am all about cutting the cord on cable and DirecTV.  If it was not for cable internet I would truly have all cords cut coming to my house.  That being said I did a lot of trial and error on antennas for my home setup. ...

Chances are Russians hacked your password!
Chances are at least one or more of your passwords are probably hacked.  How?  Quite simply there is not enough security surrounding your password or security in most websites.   You can change this behavior easily and without having to remember a 28 random...

Google Play Market on your Kindle Fire HD
I recently received a Kindle Fire HD 10.1 5th Generation tablet for Christmas.  I love the device and the price put it in the range of a nice Christmas gift to me. I immediately wanted to start setting up a few things and customizing it.  The kindle however...

The Bourne Legacy
The Bourne Again Shell or BASH has a new remote code vulnerability CVE-2014-6271  requires your sysadmins to bust out the package manager and patch this.  The risk is that you could end up running an attackers code instead of your own.

Machines that control us and could kill us
You should be very afraid of bots. Most people think of bots as automated avatars in a game or perhaps that search engine that crawls the web.  Bots are much more than that and you should worry about the machines that control you. I'm not talking about The...

I found the staff and service to be pleasant. Getting 3 pairs of glasses there the service was what I expected it to be. In a few days I had my new glasses and I a quite happy with them. I took my daughter there for contacts a few months later. They had her contacts in stock and that was a huge improvement over our last eye doctor who had to order them. We took her in and in less than an hour she walked out with a years worth of contacts. I'm not sure where these negative reviews are coming from but on 2 occasions my family and I had great experiences.

The bar and restaurant are clean, cozy and laid back. Good atmosphere and nice staff. Food however is pretty average. The marinated steak in the taco dinner was excellent. Everything else was fair. The pork tamale was dried out and very dry. 3 bites of this was enough to see that tamale hit the trash. The restaurant has some quirks I was surprised at as well. 3 taco dinner but can only have 2 types of tacos!?!? So I had two steak and one chorizo. Stick with the steak. Upcharges on everything including the "complementary" chip refills at .99 cents. I can see it for some things but seriously the complementary chips? Like the place overall but unlikely to return. I wanted to like it more I just could not find a reason.

For all the reviews and talk about Linos I feel like it fell short. Formica tables from the 70's with an interesting decor from a castle in Italy. The special salad was far from special unless egg and a few slices of sausage impress you. The pizza was fair but not worth the price. I certainly wouldnt go out of my way to eat here. Most people seem to like the food here but it seems very run of the mill.

Humus is good here. Gyros are not. Would be far more impressive if there was more to offer on the menu. Its really limited and while what we had was good here it was no where near as impressive as the reviews make it. I would love to come back but there really is not enough variety in the menu to keep me coming back. Its good food, a bit on the expensive side as well. Id rather take a trip to downtown chicago for more variety and authentic taste.

Eigerlab is an incubator facility where startup businesses can colocate. They have everything a startup business would need including Phone service, Scanners, Copiers and Fax Machines. The rates for a single cubicle or small office are reasonable. If you are looking to startup a business without having to page huge monthly rental fees this place is for you. The building is rather secure and they can even allow you to host events in the auditorium or in any number of conference rooms. Great place to start your business.

Rented for a long period of time and these people are terrible. I had the unfortunate opportunity to rent from this Enterprise for a prolonged duration. I saw a lot of things go on while I rented here. 1. A reservation doesnt mean you'll get a car (Or the one you want). I personally had them not have a car ready for me on more than one occasion. I saw them flat out tell customers they didnt have a car although a reservation for one was made. If its a busy time period like holidays, good luck in getting a car although you may have reserved one. 2. Write down EVERYTHING and don't listen to the employees when they say "dont worry about that". I heard stories about how "We cant charge for the bumper damage" or "if its smaller than the circle we don't care". I had these people try to charge me for damage that was even written down on the forms! I ultimately had to dispute it with their corporate office. They will try to charge your insurance for anything. 3. Won't pick you up. Be careful, they wont pick you up if they are busy or too far away. If they arent busy they will drive a little further but don't expect to call them at 9am and get a ride. The only thing that keeps this place in business is the fact of their location. The management here is pathetic and they are only looking out for themselves. Do yourself a favor and rent somewhere else. I have rented for decades traveling for my company and I never ever had a place treat me as poorly as this place. Do yourself a favor and get the car at the airport.
