Hobbie, R2-D6 and PTL, and dutch to pass a TL

Is a good idea in abstract - but there's a slight trouble, in that PTL is possibly pointless with this combination - because X-wings only have focus and TL, so when you PTL, you're taking a TL, and then not using it as you then get a lock on another ship from dutch to remove the stress?  Why not skip the PTL and just get the lock from dutch?

Minimally, you're gonna need an engine upgrade, or something that's not PTL - like daredevil or expert handling ;)

Too early for real information, but there's lots of guessing going on - with some new wave 4 spoilers discovered...

I think, the trouble with advanceds, is that people seem to go all or nothing with them. More and more, I'm seeing that single ship lists tend not to give the kind of synergy or answers to overcome all possible list types...

We still see dual falcons, all x-wing lists and of course the all tie fighter list. In casual play, it's certainly fun to play all a-wings or all tie bombers. 100% of a single ship type as a list is never going to disappear.

However, in the competitive environment, most ships just have some kind of exploitable weakness that some other combination of ships can take advantage of - B-wings flat out die to ion turrets. A-wings can outflank a shuttle. Firesprays out-tank the falcon, the falcon destroys interceptors....  Tie fighter swarms can get smashed hard by asteroid placement and ships with strong repositioning abilities (Adv sensor B-wing, Tie interceptors with ptl...)

The Tie fighter is the one exception to this, as it's probably the most efficient ship in the game, and Howlrunner's buff works really well with as many fighters in the game. We're going to see z-95 squads for similar reasons.

With the impending release of wave 4, I think we're going to start seeing more and more mixed ship lists reaching towards the top builds at worlds and gencon. Having multiple shiptypes with weapons and synergies that can answer various threats from different groups.

I'm a little surprised that you chose to ran 4 advanced's :) The key though, is Did you have fun? I personally find 4 advanced lists fun! Also, way back in early wave 2 era, I wrote a long post on the forums about the advanced.... I'll link that here for relevence :)

and make sure your collision is at a slight angle, because a 1 forward will clear a small ship that is flush on.

I like the shuttle swarm...

Omicron Group Pilot + Darth Vader
academy pilot X 6

This leaves you 4 points to play with - You can bump an AP up to backstabber or dark curse...

A B-wing list that I like, is

Blue Squad + Ion Cannon + FCS + APT X2 (66)
Luke + PTL + Stealth (34)

wish there was one more point for an r2 unit....  Can fairly consistently knock a shuttle or firespray out in the second round of shooting. (2 damage from the ion cannons in the first round, and then the APTs tend to do between 8-10 damage)

Lists 1 and 2 appear to be the same ;)

(List 1?)
Without some way to buff the cluster missile attack, I think a stronger missile might be a better choice - (caveat) unless the meta in your area is full of agility 1 ships.

I'm not convinced of autoblaster's value, and would personally switch that to a dagger with advanced sensors - you free up some points overall. (Maybe PTL on the green squad instead :) ) APL would be better if chewie had lower P.S. or you had some Ion cannons in the mix somewhere, I think.

Recon specialist is a good choice, as it buffs multiple defense rolls or an attack and defense, you might even move the cluster missiles to chewie since Recon Specialist can buff both attacks with it.

(list 3?) I don't think the chewie needs a gunner in the JAN list - if you're rolling 4-5 dice, you're probably hitting - granted it looks like you've got it set up to take the falcon action each turn - having chewie tank for you.

You've also got a swarm tactics in the mix that will bump arvel or chewie just a few in Pilot Skill - that seems an awful lot of points invested in a pilot build that might not be so important.
Finally, Some List Talk?!?!

You might consider looking at strategies for game progression -  like Chess, I think there's a pretty well defined Setup, opening, midgame, endgame

Not everyone will seperate setup and opening (ship and asteroid placement vs the intial approach paths before combat starts)
Midgame is hardest to really define I suppose
Endgame is where you're down to your last pieces...
