I see a lot of negative reviews, and I don't see why. My experience has been fine. The locker rooms are very clean. They provide a lot of things that I didn't expect, like shampoo/body wash, which is actually pretty nice. I take complete advantage of that instead of hauling my own back and forth. The trainers are great. They seem to know a lot. There's a little bit of pseudo science floating around that they try to sell you on, but I just ignore it. I can always get access to the machine I want. I participate in the group "personal" training classes, which are expensive, but I'm learning so much. My class has only two people in it, which is a really good value compared to actual personal training. It's very conveniently located. I wish that the parking lot didn't have a stupid round about, but that's not really worth complaining about. The pools are really nice (there are three!) and there aren't too many kids. I hate kids at the gym. Overall, I've been very pleased with the condition and quality of the equipment and staff and will continue to go there.

I purchased my wedding dress at Darling Brides and I have previously ordered a bridesmaid dress with them for another wedding. Both times, service was good... I had to wait a little bit for my appointment for my wedding dress b/c of walk-ins in front of me, but I actually liked that because it gave me time to browse unattended. The salon is friendly and well organized and not stuffy at all. I went to one bridal salon where the people were very rude and condescending to me because I didn't want to pay very much, but not at Darling Brides. The dresses are reasonably priced and they carry designers like Alfred Angelo (whose quality I am not thrilled with) and Casablanca (whose quality I really like). I bought a sample dress, which makes me feel like I got a really good deal for a lovely dress in great condition. I wasn't ready to buy right away because I went shopping by myself and wanted to send my mom pictures before I committed and they held the gown for me for the rest of the day. They had a great selection of sample gowns, which are great for brides on a budget (like me) and for people who may have taken a little too long to order a dress. Compared to some of the other Ann Arbor shops, I felt Darling Brides had the best value for their dresses, but I also wasn't about to drop 5 grand on a dress I am only going to wear once. If you budget is ~500-2000, this is probably the best option in Ann Arbor (trust me - I tried them all!)
