An oldie but goodie.
This is my favourite Cognac soaked kuksa. I harvested the Birch bur some years ago up in Scotland with the help of my friend and associate, Chris Grant. Once more I used Axe, MaChris and hook, it is sanded, however, I think it worked on this one.

Spoon carving tip.
I've been in the wood shed working on a few spoons and a new kuksa. I had to curtail roughing out the kuksa due to my axe head becoming loose, the rest of the day was spent sorting out the issue.  Now I have a few spoon blanks from green Apple I need to ask...

Introduction
Jon Mac... Spoon carving first steps... I am a folk artist/bushcrafter and spoon maker living on Dartmoor in the West Country. I am a retired member of the Mountain Rescue Committee's Search and Rescue Team 'Ashburton'.  I carve spoons using three primary bushcraft tools. The Axe, Knife and hook knife. I sell my work and teach edge tool usage and maintenance. The home of the MaChris bushcraft/carving knife and the MiniMac carving knife. This new pair of knives offers superb handle ergonomics combined with superior cutting capabilities.
