The curries are consistently exceptional and the other dishes are pretty good, as well. The food is not as good when it is delivered. So I recommend eating in.

Really good food. Had my to go order done with time to spare. Very receptive and helpful. Host was very welcoming and social while I waited.

Sometimes very slow service at lunch. The food tastes fine.

I have been here several times since moving to the area. Overall I've enjoyed the food and the ambiance. There is usually ample seating available and the noise level is just right so that you can carry on a conversation without needing to elevate your voice.

Good food. Decent lunch options. Service is slower than it should be for lunch. They almost always bring out one meal at a time, forcing some people to wait while others have food.

I used to always take large groups to Bangkok Bistro (formerly 1Gen Thai) since I work in a nearby building and often host groups of approximately a dozen people at a time. In the past, they were always efficient and would happily provide separate checks. I took a group of about 14 there last month, expecting the same, although I hadn't taken a large group to the restaurant in approximately a year. The staff seems to have changed significantly and is now very inexperienced. Our group was served water multiple times without anyone offering to take drink or food orders until about half an hour after we arrived. After we ordered, food came out at very different times, with one in our party not receiving his food until everyone else had finished their dinners. In order to finally get his food, I had to flag down one of the servers multiple times, even getting up to walk over to the bar to get her attention again. At the end, it took ages to get the separate checks, which were not all correct, not to mention when the checks were brought to the table, the server simply stacked all on the table rather than giving each person their check, which had always been done in the past. As one of my guests said, "I supposed you will not be taking a group back any time soon." He was absolutely correct.

Bangkok Bistro isn't the best Thai restaurant in the DC area (Cue Thai Xing on Florida Ave in DC or Regent Thai in NW DC), but if you are craving Thai food and don't want to venture into DC, it's not a bad option. The staff are friendly and very attentive and the restaurant is always clean. Their green curry and Thai iced tea are good and will satisfy any Thai craving you may have. Afterwards, you can grab a movie at the nearby cinema in the Ballston Common Mall.

The worst Thai place in all of Arlington. I wish I could post photos of their food. Very disappointed!
