Seven Grand is aesthetically a beautiful bar. It seems like it would've been an old 'members-only' gentlemen's bar back in the day because of the decorations and the vibe of the place too. It's pretty spacious but when my friend's and I went on a Saturday night it was packed with little room to move. There's 2 pool tables in the center of the space and they have a patio where you can smoke cigars that they sell as well. The bar area is spacious, there is a lot of room to stand and order but it gets busy. Just a tip, don't rush the bartenders! I've seen people trying to rush them and they will take their time getting to you. Just be respectful and don't badger them, they are helping a few drunk people too so do them a favor and be patient. The bartenders are really cool and helpful, I'm not too familiar with whiskey but the man helping me was patient and gave me recommendations. They have a variety and many options of whiskey, their menu is extensive and informational so if you're a whiskey noob like me it won't be hard too find a drink. My experience was just okay, it wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst. It's a cool bar to bring your friends to but I wouldn't really spend my whole night there.

Seven Grand is a popular DTLA whiskey bar. Happy hour deals are very good at $5 per drink. It does sometimes get crowded so expect to wait before you get order your drink. They have a couple smaller pool tables that are cash-operated. The outdoor patio is very roomy. Ambiance is dark and cozy and service is generally good. Although they don't have a kitchen, they allow food orders from the restaurant downstairs, Mas Malo.

Cool place! Same entrance as Mas Malos. It's upstairs in a small but cool old fashion bar. The evening we went, there was a live jazz band playing. My usual cocktail is gin and soda water but i decided to try their mint julip, i mean...when in rome right? plus they are served in copper mugs! we were told there was a "secret" bar in the back so we walked down the hall towards the bathroom and there is a mysterious door to your right. you knock on it and wait for someone to open it. then the guy asks how many in our group and says it'll be a 20 minute wait, they take down your cell number so they can call you when they're ready. strange. but whatever. we go back to the bar and drink a little more. unfortunately, by the time we got our call to go to the secret bar, we were ready to leave. it was a fun and relaxing experience here, same pricey drinks like many other LA bars but i truly love these types of bars where the bartenders make the drinks with a lot of passion and care.

Wish I could give zero stars. Bouncer was a prick. Asked me to remove my hat, per dress code. Fine, no objections from me. Said I'd stick it in my friends bag. Dude went on a power trip and said everyone just ends up putting their hats back on once inside. Told him I was only interested in drinking whiskey, not in wearing a hat. We took our business to Spring Street Bar instead. Way friendlier staff and zero hassle. The bouncer also refused the group of 3 in line ahead of us.

I had a whiskey sour while I was there and they made it to perfection. My date bought an Old Fashioned and they made it the right way using a sugar cube instead of simple syrup. Great drinks and great environment. Definitely recommend this place for a night out.

By far my favorite Tiki Bar in Los Angeles! The Review Seven Grandr provides you with a beautiful ocean view and with great, fun and yummy drinks and good food! The place is always clean, and the staff is quick and nice. Everytime I'm in the area I love to stop here for a nice and relaxing time.

More up an upscale, nice bar. Lots of whiskey choices, professional bar tenders, and a few pool tables. Must go here if you are around.
