Very nice chill & cool environment to hang out w friends & meet new peeps. Back bar is very limited in what drinks they serve; which kinda sucks. -1 Love the decor (very interesting; kinda classy hipster style) & vibe here. ;-) Drinks B Decor B+ Ambiance B+

Entertainment, these Bartenders - yup I said Bartenders and not Mixologist - are great at what they do. Jeff is amazing and makes Amazingly good tasting drinks and they are picturesque as well. Pool tables, a second Bar in a cozy room and live music on specific days. Great for groups and the patrons are approachable and social. Favorite Bar downtown LA.

A great stop for a night out in downtown LA, Seven Grand is first ans foremost a whiskey bar. Case in point; As I asked for the drink menu the response from the bartender was, "The whiskey menu or the drink menu?" Fans of whiskey, bourbon, and scotch will surely find something to excite them. If you are looking for something else there are plenty of other cocktails, beers, and wines to go around. I recommend trying an Old Fashioned or a Manhattan. They make these classic whiskey drinks as good as anyone in LA. It even puts my grandfather's Sunday afternoon Manhattan creations to shame. Decor fits perfectly with the drink theme, half a dozen stag heads adorn the walls overlooking the wood finishing and billiards tables in the center of the room. The back bar area has the best seating and the space is rounded out by a smoking patio/balcony. It truly feels as if you are stopping by your very own Scottish hunting lodge.

It is situated above the restaurant Mas Malo which often confuses people when they arrive here but it has an old speakeasy ambiance where the bartenders are wearing suspenders and bowties. During the weekdays, they have different jazz and soft rock bands perform. There are pool tables and is a great place to just chill and drink a pricey variety of neat just like your grandpappy did.

This place gets packed as hell, but they do have some good drinks. Old Fashioned? Ok! When I went, they gave us a couple for a dollar off old fashioned, so that's a plus, but it was only the in back bar. They have pool tables in the middle, but man, considering all the people there, you can barely move around. It's super loud as well, so my friends and I actually left this place after one drink. It's hard to fine parking too. I drove around for awhile hoping to find parking. The valet in front closes at 1AM too, so that's pointless since bars close at 2AM.

This hipster hunting lodge is a dtla bar crawl classic and must. There's live bands often (I'd guess Fridays, Saturdays), but I actually prefer the less busy week-day nights when you can get to the bar with relative ease. Located upstairs of Mas Malo, you can spot it by a neon stag sign hanging off the building on 7th, between Grand and Olive. Get your ID checked and head upstairs, to see mannequins in red plaid hunting gear, and your local dtla hipsters in much of the same. There's a few pool tables in the middle, and group seating in a "back room" and also to the south 2 corners of the bar. The bar is long, and very classic looking. There's an outdoor space also for smoking and escaping the crowds. I like to linger between the spaces and walk around, enjoying the different feels of each. Most importantly, they make a MEAN whiskey sour. I mean MEAN. It's the best damn whiskey sour you'll ever have. Real egg, foamed, angostura bitters, the whole deal. The bar tenders here really do their classic drinks well, with most opting for old fashions, whiskey drink du jour ($5 during HH too), or some other fancy cocktail. It's lovely. Come, take in the scene, and do this classic LA thing in a whole new trendy vibe.

A great spot if you're looking for a place to have an old-school drink in DTLA. Don't bother dropping by if you're not a fan of whiskey. It's what they specialize in. And trust me, they have copious amounts of it ready to be imbibed by their patrons. Was here recently and they were passing out coupons for $2 off every glass of whiskey. Sold.

Very cool upscale location that has great live music venues in the back room most nights. Has that 1920's upscale feel with out it feeling pretentious.
