And frankly, that's mostly George's fault...

What are your recommendations for a good, reasonably priced (and available in the UK) fountain pen for use with Midoris.

I have the Lamy Safari and have to say I am not a huge fan of it. I picked up the xf nib because the bold the pen came with was too wet for my taste. I find the xf isn't very smooth. Maybe it is just the nib I got. I have heard great things about both the Kaweco classic sport and the pilot metropolitan. Either on can be picked up for less than 25 dollars.

Not strictly MTN I know but I got my first pack of Scout notebooks today. They fit my new MTN Passport size perfectly even though are slightly taller than the Midori refills. Plus a pack of three works out cheaper than buying the MTN refills.

My gorgeous Midori Passport Travellers Notebook, Star Ferry Edition, arrived today (brilliant service from The Journal Shop). It's fantastic and a little smaller than I thought. Love the Camel brown leather. So far only one notebook and the plastic Zip wallet are in it but thoughts are already turning to the first refill purchase. Surprised by the smell, or lack of it. Many comments I've read have said how strong it is. Not the case with mine. Only complaint: the ticket for a free ride on the Hong Kong Star Ferry expired on Dec. 31st 2013! So much for my plan to stowaway on the next HK bound supertanker out of the UK. :(

Rubber bands, sorry Binding Bands, what the verdict? Are the Midori ones a higher quality that your average office-type bands? Are they worth buying?

I'm actually using hair ties from my daughter's.. I tried them while I was waiting for the midori bands and they work fine.

I've renamed a bunch of notebooks in OneNote 2013 but noticed they are still appearing under their original names in OneNote Online and the OneNote apps. Anyone know if this means I'm stuck with the old names or can I change them?

At the risk of igniting a gender war - and bearing in mind I'm still new to the world of travelling notebooks - would I be right in suggesting that men and women use MTN's in very different ways? From all the videos I've watched in seems huge amounts of work go into women's notebooks with decoration, customisation, organisation etc. Yet men...well I don't know. I certainly don't feel the need to fill my notebook with stickers and decorative tape but maybe I'm alone in this. How about a few male members of this community reveal their preferences for MTN usage? It might help give me some direction at the very least. :)
