A man is known by the books he reads, by the company he keeps, by the praise he gives, by his dress, by his tastes, by his distastes, by the stories he tells, by his gait, by the notion of his eye, by the look of his house, of his chamber; for nothing on earth is solitary but every thing hath affinities infinite."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

“No matter how busy you may think you are, you must find time for reading, or surrender yourself to self-chosen ignorance.”

The food was OK, the atmosphere passable and the service average at best. The restaurant is over-priced and hyped up. In my humble opinion there are better restaurants to visit for the price tags they are putting up.

Although the food is pretty good, I wouldn't say it was some of the best I've ever had. For the price range they are aiming for, they need to improve the culinary experience. My wife's beef fillet was incredible, but my rump steak was below average. Decor was ok, but exactly what I expect from a "wine farm style restaurant". They were hosting a function while we were there, and we got stuck into the "back-room". Be warned, I would check for functions when making a reservation - avoid the "back-room". You don't get the atmosphere of the place when you are stuck there.

Great view of the sun setting over False Bay. Service was bad again - as always. Food was good, and well priced. (Changing you decor should involve a bit more than painting your chairs from sea-green to white)
