Just left a memorial service for Krissie Davis, a Talladega woman killed while working in Afghanistan. She worked with the Department of Defense for more than 3 decades. Davis' daughter said she has peace knowing her mother died doing what she loved to do.

Busy morning! A toddler was injured in an overnight shooting in Center Point. We were first on the scene as Jefferson County Sheriff deputies searched the area for evidence. And just before 10:30, Judge Clyde Jones declared a mistrial in the capital murder trial of a man accused of killing an off-duty police officer. Check out the stories:

Morning reporter for WVTM-13 News in Birmingham covering local news in Birmingham and all over Central Alabama
Introduction

Sarah first joined WVTM 13 as a producer in December 2010. She is now excited to use her talents in front of the camera.

Sarah graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. While in college, she worked for the University's commercial television station, WVUA. While at WVUA, Sarah covered stories from communities across West Alabama. Some highlights of her time at WVUA include interviewing national championship coach and television personality Lou Holtz, and covering Dr. Robert Bentley's campaign for Governor.

While in college, Sarah spent a Summer interning for WVTM 13. She considers herself very fortunate to have been able to get her start from the best in the business.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, reading anything she can get her hands on and spending time with her wonderful husband Brad and adorable dog Dixie. If you have a story idea, feel free to shoot Sarah an email.
