Me and friend decided to golf at short notice, the lead pro shop employee was very nice and willing to help. After we arrived we found out he wasnt as smart as we thought, we bought 18 holes with a rental club set and cart. The clubs were not a full set and the ones I did get were damaged and dented badly. They take your debit card for the cart. We were never started and waited for about 10-15 minutes for a cart. A starter saw us standing and decided to tell us to follow him. He started us on the 4th hole then told us to play as long as we would like for our troubles. After playing 9 holes we were becoming harassed by 3 different starters and the marshall, they all ganged up on us and we couldnt finish playing. The condition of the course is good, cart paths need major work and are not good for bad backs. All greens are decent. Most staff have attitude problems and are not willing to help. I guess this is what you get for 12 dollars. I highly recommend going to another course.

When it comes to money and availability this course can't be beat. The course is taken care of pretty well, and the new driving range is superb. Come check it out!...just not on busy days before I get there!

I set a tee time a week in advance. I went to play golf with my father who came in from out of town. We were told we had to join another group of golfers who we did not know. We were given 6 minutes to play a par 4 before another group of golfers stated to tee off. They teed with us still on the fairway. This is dangerous. We were told that we had to play best ball because we were being to slow. The staff was very rude. When I demanded my money back since I only got to hole 3 when we were pushed to our wits end with the rude staff, we had to argue a lot to get our money back. They charged us $25 a person even though I had a golf course issued birthday coupon for $20. They are after the money and do not care about the enjoyment of the game. DO NOT PLAY HERE. I would give less then one star if I could.

I have played many rounds at Ruth Park and never heard a rude word from the staff as mentioned in a few comments. It looks like each of those issues was based on staff trying to speed up slow play. Anyway, the course is in good shape and can challenge most golfers from the blue tees. The driving range is like a friendly club with all the retirees giving tips and helping new players and kids. Great place and a great bargain!

Ruth is a very nice local course that has gotten better each year since I started playing it (2007). It has excellent variation in shapes and elevations of the holes and provides reasonable challenges for casual and scratch golfers. It could use a few bunkers in addition to the newly-added water on #8. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the course is, for the most part, well-maintained. It is a great place for pairing up with other hackers of varying levels, or just catching pointers from the local scratch players who are usually willing to share their knowledge. All-n-all, a very nice place for the regular golfer on a limited budget.
