THis place is great. Love the steaks! However, they just got rid of the steak frites? WHY? love the special Mon-Friday where all pizettes at the bar are $5! can't beat the deal.

The atmosphere of Socca is amazing. Right from the moment you walk in the door, there is beautiful decor all around and the food is fantastic. Really great service and their outdoor patio is great during the summer time.

We hosted our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at Socca in August, 2008. The wedding was a destination wedding and no member of the wedding party lives in or near Chicago, so we were a bit nervous about making arrangements long distance. Chef Roger was super to work with! He made great suggestions about what we might offer to our guests and was willing to work within our budget constraints. We were a large wedding party and he came through beautifully with everything as promised. The food was excellent; the staff was attentive, helpful and courteous; and the whole experience far surpassed our expectations. Our one regret is that we don't live close enough to visit this restaurant more often!

Great neighborhood bistro, laid back and great service. Best bet is 1/2 off Pizzettes (mini pizzas, thin crust) from 5-7p on Mon to Thurs nights. Grab that and a cocktail and make yourself at home. They used to have a great steak frites on the menu which was recently taken off, but you can still order the fries with a delicious aioli dipping sauce as an app.

A disappointment. Bland food.

In over a year, I have never had a bad meal eating at Socca 2-6 times a month. Very cool, casual atmosphere- great for date night, yet hip enough to catch up with friends over good wine and great food. Outstanding friendly and genuine service, very accomodating. Not sure how one may consider the food underseasoned or bland.... prime meats and farmers market fresh produce. Always a pleaser, great for brunch too!

this is the best restaurant in lakeview. this is also the best restaurant walking distance to wrigley field. this italian/french fussion does everything well. some of the highlights include a 4 petite allen brothers filet appetizer, the melt-in-your-mouth allen brothers 3 inch thick brined pork chop, the homeade pasta, the fresh fish brought in daily and the flatbread pizzas are all must trys.
