Read all good reviews with the mind of "results may vary". Each review is of personal experiences. With that said let's just rate the food. Food is meh at best. Cook your own food and get better results. This location only selling point is that; the location. Convention center fodder. Filled with business men/women grabbing a well deserved alcoholic beverage and sub par meals. Sheryl from accounting eagerly cracking down on crab legs all the while you're realizing it's comical that you'd rather be at home with a bag of popcorn watching your favorite series of that lady who was left in a bunker.

I haven't been to a Joe's in a while, maybe 10 years. After this experience it will be another 10 years. Ordered the 2nd most expensive plate on the menu and didn't even get butter with my lobster and crab. By the time I got it the crab was cold. The plastic ripper snapped in half. The waitress was inattentive and we saw her in frequentl . When asked for butter a second time she blamed it on someone else went to another table to take their order and then brought out butter. All this on top of a 15 minutes wait from the time we sat at our table to when she showed up. Lastly, and the primary reason I won't be back soon, my lobster was muddy. I don't eat lobster often but this is the first time I have encountered this. They couldn't be bothered to rinse it before cooking! Just gross and the whole experience left me thinking I was at a dirty Long John Silvers. (But that isn't fair to LJS they are nicer than this place.)

Even though this is a chain restaurant it is one of the better places to get affordable seafood. I have had problems with my seafood pot being cold or they don't bring out butter with your pot which I don't understand. I shouldn't have to ask for melted butter. I wish they had a loyalty program or something fun like that. Like get a free t-shirt after 5 visits or something.

Worst service ever. Went in early afternoon when there wasn't a crowd. Took 3 servers to seat us about 10.minutes and there were only 10 or so tables with people. After 15 minutes......still no water was ever offered and we left. Past several servers on the way out and none of them said one things. And again the three servers were at the front talking!

Came in for a quick drink. Good prices. Awesome location. Sat at the bar. The bartender was informative and nice. Would not mind coming back with family and friends for more. :)

They have the best and freshest seafood in the area since they are so close to the beach. It's a casual affair as you will be getting your hands dirty eating crab and lobster. Lots of interesting wall posters and there's also a little gift shop.

For a chain restaurant it was OK. The location is very pleasant, right on the water. The service was marginal (slow and uninspired) and the decor equally tired. The food was well prepared, for what it was, and reasonably priced. The margaritas were near virgin with very little tequila. Honestly had the service been a bit better I would go back again. May be a really good Happy Hour haunt, You can't beat the location right on the bay downtown behind the convention center.

It's a Joe's Crab Shack with some great views of the water. We had the steam pot and BBQ crab. Both were excellent. Fast and friendly servers.
