Looking to build my first PC at home, so I headed to MicroCenter. I was greeted by a nice staff and was easily shown which parts I needed. I was helped by a man by the name of Lorenzo Winters. He made sure I had all the correct parts for my budget and ensured me that I had a great build. Also when selecting a keyboard a younger dude by the name of Abraham Morgan helped me select the right keyboard for me, he was very knowledgeable on the current models. Since this was my first experience assembling a PC, I had few wires plugged in wrong, so I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't turn on. I went back to the store and Lorenzo had a look. He plugged them in the right place in seconds and it was up and running in no-time. I am extremely happy with my purchase and very impressed with the staff! Can't wait to go back, Thanks Microcenter

this place was garbage. i wasnt able to return my unopened windows 8.1 package, because they "didnt know" f i used it or not, which was pretty retarded. also the customer service was very bad aswell. the associate i was talking to decided he wanted to be smart with me, causing me to contact the manager which really didnt do anything but send them on break. all im saying is that im never going to their shop ever again.

I love Microcenter in Madison Heights. The only complaint I would have is the return line waits. Outside of that, whats not to love. It's microcenter. (If your lucky enough to live by one that is....)

Thanks Hans!

Just Built two killer PC Gaming Computers for my kids, I saved at least two thousand dollars and had a great time building them with my kids. Sales Guru Alexander Krstevski did a great job keeping our build on budget. Since we are first time PC builders naturally I asked a lot of questions and used YouTube. There are many resources on the web if you are new to building a PC. So, if you are interested in building or buying a killer PC check out Micro Center in Madison Hgts. Michigan. Again many, many thanks to Alexander Krstevski your professional attitude and advice made the 100 mile round trip drive to Micro Center totally worth it.

I bought an iPad charger with a 2 year warranty and was told by the cashier that I didn’t have to keep a copy of the receipt if something went wrong with the charger because they supposedly store your info in the computer. A month later the charger wasn't working and when I went to exchange it I had to wait a 1/2 hour in a line up and there were only 2 people a head of me. In the mean time people kept interfering and coming out of nowhere butting in line. There was only one attendant there with the operations manger, by the name of Reem Hattar, just standing there chewing gum and looking over the shoulder of her subordinate while the line up got bigger and bigger. I walked up to the other counter where they do repairs and there was no one there, the guy operating the counter looked very tired and almost asleep, I asked if he could help but refused and pointed me to the exchange / return counter. Finally the operations manger decided to help a half our later and when I was being served she couldn't find my info in the computer, even though I provided her with all the addresses I could think of. Someone obviously put the wrong address or the operations manager; Reem Hattar, didn’t really want to offer much help. I was very frustrated and mad at the level of service there. The manager was very rude an unprofessional in handling the transaction especially coming from a manger who was standing there doing nothing while there were at least eight people in line and the line was getting longer and longer. I demanded that she does something about it but she refused and out of nowhere said “I’m Arabic you know”. I told her I don’t care if you’re Japanese, it doesn’t make a difference to me, I need this charger exchanged. She was completely rude, offensive and unprofessional. When I asked her for her business card she claimed she didn’t have any and she put her hand over her name trying to hide it when I told her to write it down because she said we can’t give our last name out to people. The incident took place Sunday Jan. 18 at about 4:30 pm at the Madison Heights location.

I've been shopping at this location for years. I noticed lately they are becoming less and less professional. The line and wait time is always terrible doesn't matter what time of day you shop. It's so bad I no longer wait and I buy online and pickup at separate counter. Some sales people are not polite and have "I know it all geek" attitude. Being in the industry for years I probably know more than majority of employees there and seems like every time I do ask question to verify something I receive wrong answer and if I trust them I risk waiting 30 minutes in line to return an item. It happened on two occasions so I no longer ask and look stuff up myself. Their main concern is to put their sales sticker on everything you touch wether they help you or not. Seems like they do not have price match policy in place as I asked today and couldn't get straight answer. Sales guy was giving me run around answer saying it's only some stores they can match and not all and they have to be local maybe 10 or 20 miles away etc. If you are reputable business you have to have policies in place and not make them up depending how you feel today. I made special trip to the store today just to ask that question because they DO NOT answer their phone. First time I called I got full voice mail, second time I called I got disconnected after 20 minutes, third time I called I hung up the phone after 20 minutes on hold because I just made it to the store. They are understaffed and seems like don't care about repeat customers. Only when you buy something more expensive they send their manager to thank you for the purchase and their customer service stops there.

Hi Krys, I apologize for all of these issues you have encountered lately at the store. This certainly is not the perception we want to give you. I know the lines is something we are constantly working to address. Can you email me further details regarding what you were attempting to price match? I am happy to help get a manager in touch with you as we truly value you as our customer. Thanks, James Customer relations Micro Center custrel@microcenter.com

Service is terrible. Salesmen are not knowledgeable of the products or where to find them. Its the right place to go if you know exactly what you want. Service department is extremely slow. I bought a brand new Apple Mac Book Air and in 3 months had some sort of software problem. Thankfully I purchased the 3 year warranty that they are so eager to sell you. SORRY, that doesn't cover software. If you need to take something back to them drop it off the roof of the building first then they will give you a new one. OH WAIT, don't try and call the store because it will take you 30 minutes to get someone on the phone. Better yet shop BEST BUY, thats why there are more than 8 of them in the country.
