Hello Everyone,
My apologies for being late and using just text for my 3-2-1:
1. I'm an instructional designer at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, USA http://libguides.shc.edu/instructionaldesign
2. I interact on my blog: https://teacherrogers.wordpress.com/category/gaming/
3. I am a PhD student in instructional design at the University of South Alabama in Mobile.

My favorite activities, apart from teaching and learning
1. I love to dance to latin music: Salsa, Cha-cha-cha, and Merengue.
2. I love to go treasure hunting for antique books and other collectibles like those that are autographed or out of circulation.  I sell some on my online bookstore on AbeBooks: http://www.abebooks.com/teacherrogers-bookstore-bay-minette-al-u.s.a/58055834/sf

Lastly, I became a teacher-author on Teacherspayteachers.com in 2011 and started selling my educational material and children's stories.  I'm hoping that I can create an e-Textbook or at least participate in providing a chapter in a collaborative project.

Hello Everyone,
What you should know about me
1. I'm an instructional designer at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, USA http://libguides.shc.edu/instructionaldesign
2. I interact on my blog---sometimes on gaming: https://teacherrogers.wordpress.com/category/gaming/
3. I am a PhD student in instructional design at the University of South Alabama in Mobile.  My dissertation will be on Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORGs) for Second Language Acquisition of Vocabulary.

Last but not least
1. I don't know how to play Minecraft, but I know how to LEARN.  I've been researching the benefits of gaming for educational purposes, and Minecraft is mentioned all the time, especially with young children.  This is a tool that I need to know how to use!

Video tutorial of the basic tools for screen capturing and video editing with Camtasia Studio 7.

Ok, one more request. I'd like to see the winning lesson plans from the CAMELOT awards. I saw the names of the 3 winners but not the actual lessons. I'm sure they were very good. I would like to learn the best practices from them. Thanks!

Hi there, I'm looking for recordings of the SLanguages Symposium. Are any available for viewing? Thanks!

I found a cat mask for real life Mardi Gras ball. Now I can be a cat in real life. :)

Here's an idea to post all of your work on one virtual wall. I used Padlet.com recently at a training I gave on Camtasia Studio.  You can add docs, PowerPoints, photos, videos, or links. The possibilities are endless. For ex., you could use it to present an entire learning module to students. This will reduce the time of looking for the right file on your computer or accessing the link from the Web.

Here's my lesson plan for Adventures with Charlie. I used Gagne's 9 events of instruction.  I wish I had time to flesh out all of the ancillary materials. I added it to my name and MP4 on the competition list already. My hands-on activity is to have students illustrate a comic strip with the text already provided.
