This place was very disappointing! My boyfriend and I had dinner here and had to go somewhere else and get something else to eat! The atmosphere is very comfortable but the service was not great! I ordered a dirty martini that was anything but, not that our server (who was the bartender!) knew it because he never asked me how it was. He also never asked us how our food was or refilled our drinks. He came back to bring our check when we were finished, which didn't take long because the portions were So Small! The food was good, but far from homemade and far from Real Italian! There was no bread with anything and no salad with your meal. Just not what you expect for the price by far!

Very good food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere. I felt like the food was authentic enough, and they didn't overload their pasta with sauce just for the sake it. There isn't a huge beer selection, but what they have is top-notch. If you're planning to stop in on the weekday, show up after 6 so you don't have to pay for parking.

Our server, Craig, was not very attentive to our table. When the appetizer was brought, we had to ask for plates and bread, otherwise it was just a plate of spreads with only our fingers to place it on. We asked for a pitcher of water, he said he could only fill our glasses. He did not come and check if we needed anything after we were served our main meal. The food was good, but this kind of service spoiled the experience. I believe the hostess came by, but I don't know she didn't introduce herself, she asked if everything was good.! She left as quickly as she came. What happened to good customer service and the customer is always right. After waiting 30 minutes, we did not even receive, "your food will be up soon". I will not be back.

We had a great experience. Our Center for Spiritual Living hosted 20 for a 5 pm Friday evening dinner at Gamberettis. Food was delicious. Service was attentive. We were out by 6:30 in time for our 7:00 pm service. Thank you, Karen and staff.

Being was very good for what it was. But, this is a restaurant that serves Italian food but far far from an Italian restaurant. When you order your menu item that is all that is brought to your table. No bread, no salad, no cheese, no fresh pepper. I ordered Ravioli Zucca for $14 and the 10 pieces of ravioli tasted good but that is all you get. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Speaking on the behalf of my family, we were all unimpressed of the quality we received at Gamberetti's compared to similar restaurants and past dining experiences at this restaurant. There was nothing wrong with the service or the atmosphere, rather the food. The bread, while interesting and a bit too grainy for our liking, didn't pair nicely with our food. The happy hour appetizer platter we ordered was good, but the tomato samplers were the only things that remained on the platter. We all ordered pasta of some kind--pesto, Alfredo, lasagna, and what-not--and were all slightly disappointed at the quality of the food. The sauce of the lasagna tasted no different the sauce we make at home for our spaghetti. The pesto tasted something that could have been whipped up from home. For a family member's birthday party, she was given a complimentary tiramisu whose ladyfingers were oversoaked in rum, lacked in the coffee flavor, and tasted more like a $4 Starbucks coffee drink heavy on the syrup. We all agreed that the quality has decreased from years past. If you're looking for a good Italian restaurant, it's worth the extra drive to go to Albany and enjoy a meal at Carino's.

Amazing food with a good price! This is the restaurant we take everyone to. We had our wedding reception there and they catered to all of our requests.

Amazing low-price lunch specials, great service. I highly recommend Gamberetti's to anybody in the Salem area.
