Who am I?
As humans born in society we immediately identify ourselves with the personality structure known as the Ego. When We think of who we ate we see ourselves as the sense of separated self, so are we our thoughts, are we our worries, we are our fears, are we our plans and most importantly are we stuck in between the instinct and drives of the id and the higher morals of the super-ego trying desperately to reconcile between the two.
Looking at a person as part of nature, as a being that evolved over time this belief does not stand. As the existence of the ego requires high level mental capacities it only appears in big brained creatures, while creatures with smaller brains still exist, some without having an ego at all.
So who are we then?
