Reporter Kelly Brennan joined WTAE in October 2012.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Kelly moved to Athens, Ohio in 2006 to attend the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University.
While at OU, Kelly worked at WOUB as a sports feature reporter, news reporter and anchor. For four years she was part of the Emmy award-winning high school football show, "Gridiron Glory." In 2010, she and the sports feature team won the BEA Best of Festival Award and qualified as a national semi-finalist for the William Randolph Hearst Journalism Competition.
As a Bobcat, Kelly interned in Asheville, N.C., and spent three months interning in New York with NBC's TODAY show.
Kelly first reported in Pittsburgh as a freelance reporter in June 2012 and also covered the downtown hostage standoff story.
In her spare time Kelly enjoys supporting her Alma mater, rooting for the black and gold, working out and spending time with her family.
