The Restaurant: We went there during the summer of 2010. The restaurant is situated in the center of Capestang, a small village about 10Km to the west of Beziers in the south of France This place is also a wine farm. The tables of the restaurant are almost all located in the courtyard of the wine farmers house. It's a very nice setting with lots of shadow which is much welcomed in the warm region The Food: They serve a small menu of simple dishes, meat and fish. My wife had a salad, which was ok, not great. I had a salad as a starter which was really nice and a "Souris de veau" with garlic and thyme which was also very nice. Our 2 kids had a "Steak hache" the Fensh equivalent of a hamburger with french fries. The fries were ok, but the steak was half raw. I had a glass of red wine with the food, the wine that is farmed in the wine house. This is a really good wine to drink with a light to average meal. The Service: The owner of the wine house is taking orders and is preparing the meals in the open kitchen which is also situated in the courtyard. She was really unfriendly, treated us like we were not welcome. Perhaps it was the presence of our 2 kids, 3 and 5 years old wich did not fit into her idea of the more serious setting of the wine house/restaurant? This is why I score the restaurant below average, if it wasn't for the rude owner, I would probably score an above average. So if you like a nice meal in the courtyard of a wine house which has som good red wine, and you don't mind unfriendly owners, this is a good place to go.

Passez votre chemin!!!
