From today learner drivers can take lessons on the motorway with their driving instructor.
As part of their lessons, driving instructors will be teaching them not to hog the middle lane.
-----
Remember:
- You should always drive in the left-hand lane when the road ahead is clear.
- If you are overtaking a number of slower-moving vehicles, you should return to the left-hand lane as soon as you are safely past.
- Slow-moving or speed-restricted vehicles should always remain in the left-hand lane of the carriageway unless overtaking.

To prepare for the driving theory test you should review The Highway Code, study the traffic signs included, and, most importantly, practice the multiple choice driving theory questions test and hazard perception videos. http://www.1driver.co.uk/how-to-prepare-for-your-driving-theory-test.html

How the scoring mechanism of the hazard perception test works?
Each Hazard Perception scoring window is divided into five equal segments. These segments are allocated a score from five down to one. Those responding in the first segment of the scoring window will score 5, and those in last segment will score 1. Responses outside the window will score zero.http://www.1driver.co.uk/scoring-mechanism-hazard-perception-test.html

Find out how the driving test will work from 4 December 2017
There are four key changes:
The independent driving part of the test will increase from 10 minutes to 20 minutes.
Candidates can be asked to follow directions on a satnav as an alternative to following road signs - the examiner will decide. If a satnav is being used, it will be one supplied by the examiner.
Manoeuvres like 'reverse around a corner' will be replaced with more real life scenarios like driving into and reversing out of a parking bay.
Candidates will be asked vehicle safety questions while driving - for example how to use the rear heated screen.
