Right around the corner from Lenoir is La Patisserie, a delightful, charming cottage with delicious pastries! What a perfect way to start an evening before eating at Lenoir or waiting on a table then enjoying coffee in their quaint room. Otherwise, make a day of romance on South 1st and eat here for a long, relaxing lunch before shopping around the corner. Whatever choice, definitely stop in and try the Almond Macaron. TIP: Open daily from 8am-5pm with croissants available for lunch. WiFi also available.

If you are ever in South Austin, don't miss the opportunity to try out La Patisserie where they are known for their crobrio-their own spin on the popular cronut (a mix between a donut and croissant). Their green tea crobrio was a little more bitter than I had thought but I'd think it would appeal to those who don't like their pastries terribly sweet. I also had the chance to try their chai macaron (thanks Yelp, for the coupon!) which I was partial towards--it was just at the right sweetness level. The place itself is very quaint-reminiscent to the houses you would find in New Orleans and the service is very quick (It's a bakery, c'mon!). While you're there, check out the cool mural next door--it's a great photo op.

I love this place. Small, quiet, and super friendly. A great place to get a light lunch, coffee, and dessert. I love their French macarons. It's never super crowded like the other over-hyped coffeshops in south Austin. Definitely a hidden treasure.

Love this bakery! One of the rare places in Austin that really give you your money's worth in macarons. Tried a couple other places and La Patisserie always makes their macarons juuuust enough bigger to make the trip down south worth it :) It's such a cozy little establishment and right in the heart of south Austin so if you're making a side trip from SoCo to see the Austin mural definitely stop by! It's only a couple more steps down the road.

Went for the Crobrio, which was delicious, and will be back for more. They were making a cinnamon and sugar, and a more plain one with chocolate glaze on top. I got one of each and my wife and I love them. I did not notice the sign when driving by, but there is parking in the back. Not that there was not open space out on the street, but I try not to bother people by parking so near to their driveways.

MUST try the morning buns! Hybrid cinnamon roll/croissant - can't beat it! The scones are delicious too.
