It's the human disease. Waving the flag we mindlessly absorb our  media's messages and filled with patriotic passion march off to do their bidding. Just sheep accepting our herders.

The US, Why are they in it in the first place? Russia has demonstrated a commitment to the Russian speaking Ukrainians who are being victimized by a mob in Kiev. Their duly elected President was replaced by Poroshenko, a US imposed  thug who made no attempt to negotiate a political solution, namely forming a federal government that Putin was prepared to cooperate with. Instead Poroshenko immediately used his artillery and aircraft to initiate a war with his Russian speaking citizens, a war that to date has killed more than 5000 citizens. An estimated one million have fled into Russia.
Crimea with essentially Russian speaking citizens had their language rights threatened and overwhelmingly voted to leave and join with Russia. Frankly I don't see Putin as a villain in any of this. The alternative would be to let Poroshenko and his mixed gang including those wearing Swastikas turn Ukraine into a blood bath.

This war has already killed thousands of Ukrainians. Many more thousands of Ukrainian families have been split over the issue of relations with Russia. The economy and infrastructure of Donbas are ruined. Is it better to kill and destroy or take a chance and negotiate? Ukraine is not a mono-ethnic, mono-cultural country. It will never fit into this mold, no matter how hard the current Kyiv regime tries to squeeze Ukraine into it by suppressing dissenting opinions.
