Marvin Minsky was one of the greatest minds of our time. His pioneering efforts helped lay the foundation of artificial intelligence, robotics and many many more areas we take for granted.

R.I.P. Marvin. You will be dearly missed Marvin and I'm glad to have met and been able to spend time with you. God speed.

3/366 - This street shot was snapped braving this busy intersection in Hanoi, Vietnam. I particularly like the motion of the motorbikes and the bright colors. Hanoi at night is buzzing with action and life. #project366 #photography

BitwiseHacks- Introducing HKIS's First Hackathon for students

HKIS is hosting a Hackathon for students on February, 20th, 2016. BitwiseHacks is a 24 hour soft/hardware development event that focuses on the topic of the “Internet of Things”. Participants will need to work collaboratively and generate creative solutions with real life challenges for 24 hours. This event is targeted to MS/HS students in the region who are interested in software/IT development.

The theme for this year is the Internet of Things (IoT).  Mobile devices are everywhere. With the breakthrough of wireless communication and the capability of new IT standards (e.g. IPv6), everyday objects can interact remotely in split seconds. What are the possibilities of using this new tech approach to solving problems and tackling global challenges? Join us in bitwisehacks 2016 and be ready to be challenged and inspired!

For details, please visit http://bitwisehacks.com/ or email Hamlet Lin halin@hkis.edu.hk
