Have you practiced your present face yet this year? Or just hoping not to invoke it?

Ever wonder what the staff at your favorite dining hot spots may be saying around you? [It's prolly nowhere near as scandalous as it was at the Stork Club]

Not just a good video on Title Length, but a reminder of the SEO equivalent of the "Make the Logo Bigger" problem. Are people searching for your information based on keywords or your brand?

I think most companies are like that, unless what you do is just SO amazingly unique, or the keywords relevant to what you do could only be relevant to someone visiting your business site, and when does that storm happen?

I always find it funny when people look at me strange when I suggest Press Releases as an integral component of SEO [and link building] strategy. But now that Warren Buffet sought to patent it...
Submitting press releases in hopes of gaining search traffic has long been an SEO tactic. But now Business Wire — one of Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway companies — has been granted a patent over i...

Good news for all us night owls and short sleepers!
A.V. Flox originally shared:

An argument for night owls! Apparently how much non-rapid eye movement (NREM, first four stages of the sleep cycle) and rapid eye movement (REM, deeper and final stage of the sleep cycle) sleep we get is not just based on where we are in our nightly sleep, but it also depends on what time of day (or night) it is. Regardless of when you fall asleep, people tend to experience more NREM sleep in the earlier hours of the night (e.g., 11p – 3a) and more REM sleep in the later hours of the night (e.g., 3a – 7 a). So those after-hours mutants are getting more REM sleep overall than are the early-to-bedders. [via +Jason Goldman]

Are online privacy concerns, as the founded of LinkedIn says in this video [said at the 13 minute mark], really just "old people" issues?

Certainly younger people are less "paranoid" since they have grown up with the technology. They haven't seen the lack of privacy overtly used against them...yet.

According to a recent PEW study, 28% of people rely on the Internet the most to learn about Restaurants and local businesses, more than any other media source. Does that seem kinda low?

None of the grids seem to equal 100% [the ones I added got to about 76-78%], so maybe a pie chart would have been more helpful, especially since it is for "most" used information source. Then we could know what's in that void for the rest.

There's a documentary coming out that looks behind the red fur, googly eyes, and chicken dance to see the man and his intentions that created the Muppets' 2nd most beloved [and often most... polarizing?] character, Elmo. I'm excited to see it.
