Meter? Why would anybody use a meter when you have a preview screen directly on your dslr? The meter becomes redundant and even useless. I haven't used my meter in over 5 years. If I shoot film then a meter is useful, not for digital.

FYI, The website that I had been working on for the past 5 years, Twoesyesopen Photographer' Collective www.twoeyesopen.ca, is no longer active. After a massive server crash, all has been lost. I chose not to rebuild it. Thanks to all who frequented the site and offered their thoughts. If you are interested in learning more interesting photography tidbits I can be reached at [miketaylorpics@gmail.com]. My new site address will be shared through that email.

All you guys who are tired of shaving with disposables, it't time to shave LIKE A MAN. Hey, did you know that the Vandyke beard style was actually called a pickedevant? Weird but true.

Have you ever viewed a photographic print on display, and thought that you would really want to buy it even though it was not for sale?

The Space[s] Juried Exhibit opening is tomorrow April 10, at 7 pm at the old YMCA building on George St, Peterborough.  Come see some amazing prints. Find out who wins the honour of Best in Show. Make sure you look through the amazing image from the Fairbairn-MacKenzie Photographic Collection. The prints from images of the late 1800's are stunning.

I liked how you ran through the basic blending modes, but I would like to have seen some actual sample images as they were worked in post with blending with textures.  I tend to layer an image with one or two texture layers to find the final image I am looking for.
Sometimes I will use a texture layer in multiply in addition to a different texture layer in overlay or screen to add a certain look to the image. samples > http://bit.ly/1hVKNuE

Have you ever wanted to take on a major photo project that would take you away for months? Did you give up before you even started?

Born and raised in the Churchill, Fort Churchill area from 1965 and made a few trips to the fort usually with school groups. It was pretty cool for a little kid back in the 70's, so as long as Hortons hasn't moved in, anybody who appreciates history will like a visit to Fort Prince of Wales (as we knew it was called for ever)
