I just met and chatted with Luthier, Ray Vincent in Peterborough Ontario.
He's such a down to Earth fellow. We sipped tea and talked about his past, his hopes for his business and other things. Why was I there? To talk about setting up some photography projects. Watch for a new series of portraits of local crafty-type people soon.
Meanwhile, if you are musically inclined and looking for a cool, custom stringed instrument be sure to have a chat with Ray. His instruments are unique, beautiful, a feast for the ears. You'll be in good hands with Ray.
Filippo and I have been talking for awhile through email. It's been great gettting to know him while I was working on his new Root. I took some extra time on th...

A great book for learning the techniques involved in shooting industrial projects. I highly recommend it as a starting off education if you want to shoot the variety of images that fall under the umbrella of Industrial.

Selling my view camera gear. Great little camera that allows for fine tuning of images on film in either 4x5 sheet film or 6x7 roll film. Accepting serious offers. Up for sale is the camera, lenses, some accessories. If you want to shoot film and process in your own darkroom, this could be a reasonably cheap way to start.

I'm wondering why we aren't seeing these in production yet? What's the delay? If they make 20x more power, we would need fewer towers than big flat panels per installation.
The cost would balance out even if each tower were more expensive to build. The cost-to-benefit ratio would favour these towers for sure.
MIT researchers have designed 3D solar modules that can generate up to 20 times the amount of energy that traditional flat solar panels can.

It's incredible the types of services you can outsource for just $5. I already have plans to enlist the services of a few people through this site.  Take a look.

Introduction
Father, photographer, blogger, woodturner, cyclist, gardener and a few other things.
Mostly I make photographs, wipe the baby's bum and pull weeds.
I'm into photographic experimentation and I'm not afraid of using the iMac and photo software to create the image I have in my head.
If you want a "different" type of portrait, I'm your guy.

I've been visiting the store for a few years. Still not sure if I like the place overall. Sure, the staff are nice, but I can't say that I am all too comfortable as a person who knows my stuff. I worked in a very busy bike shop for a number of years. I learned never to be condescending to customers, but apparently some of the Wildrock staff haven't. I also find their pricing to be somewhat high in comparison to other retailers. Perhaps they've got they're hands in the pockets of the local affluent cyclists. Not my kind of crowd.

Born and raised in the Churchill, Fort Churchill area from 1965 and made a few trips to the fort usually with school groups. It was pretty cool for a little kid back in the 70's, so as long as Hortons hasn't moved in, anybody who appreciates history will like a visit to Fort Prince of Wales (as we knew it was called for ever)
