Eclectic global cuisine served in a rustic, old mill adjacent a sister venue for film, art & music.- Google
"Food is good, but pricy for what is, effectively, a cafe/sandwich shop."

Really good local food. Love the dedication to getting local seafood into the daily specials... Also a great selection of beers and drinks. Location cannot be beat.

I love the atmosphere here: the high ceilings, the brick-and-wood, and the food's not bad either. The cinema is an additional bonus.

The Frontier Café is one of those places I think: “why don’t I come here more often?!” It’s got that rustic, indie, mellow coffee house-meets-art gallery vibe that can either come off pretentious or inviting. In my experience, this place pulls of the latter. When I’m here: I want to be here. When I’m not: I wish I was a regular. The view and atmosphere is outstanding. Yes, the service can be hit or miss, but not so much so that it makes or breaks the entire experience. And yes, the food is pricey (when I’ve gone for lunch, I’ve gotten two “Marketplates” and shared them with whomever I’m with), but it’s organic, locally-grown, and caters to the veggie/vegan population, so really what do you expect? The Frontier Café strives to recreate a Street Market/Bazaar feeling where “all types of people converge around seasonal foods and flavors . . . sharing ideas and thoughts over a cup of coffee.” They do this – and they do it well. Kudos to The Frontier Café for bringing this feeling alive in Brunswick, ME!

Overpriced sandwich/coffee cafe with a nice view of the river. Service is very poor and the drinks are expensive and poorly served.

Great space: it's a repurposed old mill building, with brick walls and high ceilings. Views are also excellent, as it overlooks the river. Food is good, but pricy for what is, effectively, a cafe/sandwich shop. They do have a liquor license, with a better than average beer selection.

I love the indi films, live performances, interesting patrons. And the food is consistently good. I especially appreciate that there are always vegan options (on the standard menu or available upon request). Very community-oriented place.
