The service was superb, from the time we entered, til the time we left. The food was amazing! When I went there, a gentleman walked around singing, I especially loved his singing of "Danny Boy".

Ok, I read the other reviews before typing this. First, this is not a fast food, mom&pop restaurant. It is upper middle class so if you want to spend a total of $15 for a dinner-for-two, go to Denny's. The outside of the restaurant looks a little iffy, but as soon as you enter, you know that you've just stepped into a very nice restaurant. We were asked at the door if we had reservations - we did not because we didn't know we needed them. No problem, she "wrote us in" and we were immediately seated. An incredible place just to look at. We have been in restaurants all up and down the East Coast and in Europe and this one is unique to all of them. To make a long story short, every single thing we ate was incredibly well prepared and delicious. Down to the cornbread which we wanted to wrap up and take a loaf back with us. Yes, it's that good. Both desserts were the perfect topping for the evening. Our only knock was that our waiter seemed to be having a bad day. All of the other waiters were smiling and chatty and we could see were getting great service but our guy was a little surly. No problem, he did not detract in the least for our experience because everyone has a bad day. (by the way, my girl and I split one meal and they did a great job dividing it into 2 plates without blinking an eye) If you are in the area (and can find this on your first drive by) you must stop in and have something. Even if it is just an appetizer and a dessert, you will leave satisfied and saying "we have to come back here".

Excellent dining. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. The food is outstanding and the chef came to extend a greeting. A must do if you are in the area.

Unfortunately this was not a good visit. Although the setting is beautiful and the previous visit a few years earlier would provoke a different response, the service and food quality/value was less than appropriate. For a "finer" dining eating establishment, you think you would find a relaxed atmosphere but we felt rushed from the get go by our waitress who even asked to remove our cheese and crackers when our salads arrived. There were still plenty of cheese and crackers on the plates. She also immediately removed our checks from us after we signed and wrote out our tips. It made the evening feel edgy. The food and the pricing did not go hand in hand. My salmon was overcooked and my sweet potatoes were so salty you could not eat them. All of our sweet potatoes had to be removed from the table and we had to reorder side dishes. All in all, not a great experience, and I won't be returning. The next night we ended up at CLARKS. Stellar!

This is fine dining, done with excellence. Servers are efficient and knowledgeable. Its is wonderful and rare to have service that is attentive, but not hovering or obtrusive- please leave an appropriately gracious gratuity! The food is interesting, intelligently conceived, and simply superb- everything. Pacing of courses is not excessively slow- it's all being prepared fresh to order, folks- you will be here awhile, and you will not begrudge it. The only negatives- once in awhile there are occasional loud, pre-inebriated golf parties, and on one occasion my wife and I were seated on stupendously uncomfortable chairs.
