"Microlending has revolutionized aid and development efforts in Africa, Asia, Latin America and certain parts of the Middle East. It did so by proving that the poor can lift themselves out of poverty with a hand-up, rather than a handout." http://www.forbes.com/sites/elmirabayrasli/2012/03/26/microfinance-in-america/

Dr. Yunus likes to say that the poor are like Bonsai trees. If you put them in a small pot, they will remain stunted. There is nothing wrong with their seed; the problem is with the pot. http://bit.ly/Im1AUY

Apathy cripples the Church from really doing anything about the injustices that it sees in the world. It’s as worse as any disease and sickness that kills off orphans and widows because it paralyzes the heart of God’s people from being moved to justice... http://www.trinityeffect.org/poverty-apathy-and-the-church/

Story

Changing the world and ending extreme poverty through microfinance
Introduction
Trinity Effect seeks to partner with community and economic development ministries, NGO’s, and non-profits around the world who are seeking to implement a microfinance program, but do not have the resources.

We do this by providing funding and training to legitimate organizations that are eradicating extreme poverty worldwide in three ways:
  • By providing loan capital
  • Training
  • Leadership development
You can learn more about what we do here. And learn more about our partnerships with Hope International, Opportunity International, and the Balama Development Alliance here.
