Tracking ‪#‎Gorillas‬: The Bigger ‪#‎Conservation‬ Picture

"Ninety-eight percent (98%). That's the number you’ll read or hear about as you prepare for tracking gorillas in ‪#‎Uganda‬.

It’s the 400+ gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park that have drawn the most attention lately, and with good reason. Home to approximately half the world's population of ‪#‎mountaingorillas‬, ‪#‎Bwindi‬ also boasts a large number of "habituated" ‪#‎gorilla‬ groups – those that, through careful, repeated exposure to humans, continue to behave normally even when people are nearby. These are some of the gorillas that travelers from around the world come to observe." - +The Travel Word

African ‪#‎tourism‬ sector acts to shake off Ebola stigma

“Africa … did well (last year) in spite of suffering from the Ebola symptoms which were associated unfairly with ‪#‎Africa‬ as a whole. It was a very unfair generalization that happened.” - Taleb Rifai, head of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), at the  #ITBBerlin tourism fair.
