Strange Wedding Traditions #3
On the Maruesas Islands of French Polynesia after the wedding reception is over the relatives of the bride all lay side by side in the dirt, face down. The bride and groom then walk across them like some sort of human rug.

EASY QUICK TIPS ON HOW TO GO “GREEN” FOR YOUR NEXT SPECIAL EVENT

Buy food locally as much as possible. Buy in season.
Don’t forget the wine–try a Missouri wine.
If you can, use rentals. I recommended Aries Rental Company.
If you don’t want to deal with the dishes, I suggest picking up Bambu (www.bambuhome.com) or another form of biodegradable plateware like Earth Shell.
Use flowers and plants from your home or garden.
Soy candles are great alternatives.I like soy candles made locally by, Irie Star (http://iriestar.com/soy_candles.html).
Be innovative! Reuse what you can like jars, flowers and candles.

Strange Wedding Traditions #2
In Yugur culture (an ethnic Chinese minority) the groom will actually shoot his bride with a bow and arrow before the wedding…three times. Ok, so the arrows don’t have arrowheads, but still, thats like getting shot with rubber bullets. Once the deed is done, the groom will collect the arrows and break them, thus ensuring that they will love each other forever.

WHAT EACH GESTURE MEANS:
- Holding Hands: We definitely like each other.
- Holding you tight pressed against each other: I want you.
- Looking into each other's Eyes: I like you, for who you are.
- Playing with Hair: Let's fool around.
- Arms around the Waist: I like you too much to let go.
- Laughing while Kissing: I am completely comfortable with you.

My family held our family reunion at The Wedding Room. From the very beginning Patti and her staff were great to work with. Even after the room was set, the matriarch of our family, decided she wanted to change the look of the room. Patti didn't hesitate to make her happy. Our reunion was a major success and the staff at The Wedding Room played a huge role. Don't be fooled by their name. They can host any event to satisfy your needs. They may be relatively unknown, but they provided us with 5 star service and support. Go check them out. You can't go wrong working with Patti. We've already scheduled the matriarch's 80th birthday party there. Can't wait to see you then Patti!

I had called to ask about wedding packages and the lady over the phone did not even want to talk to me. When she asked how big the wedding was going to be I told her 50 guests and she said that they do not cater to under 50 guests. When I explained to her that there was going to be 50+ guests she stated that she simply could not help me and hung up. RUDE!!! Consider looking somewhere else where people actually care about your "big day"!!

Outstanding place for a reception. I had my wedding in Vegas and needed a place that could accomodate 55-100 guests for a reception. The Wedding Room was an absolutely perfect choice. Though I had to plan it from halfway across the country, Patti was flexible and helpful and very easy to work with. The location is attached to a Jazz Bar, making it easy for my guests to wander between the reception to go check the college football game scores in the bar area. Her servers are terrific, and the food was superb...I highly recommend getting the filet mignon as a dinner choice. They also get you all of the information you need for a D.J., cake baker, etc. It couldn't have possibly gone better for us, as everyone who attended had a great time. If you're considering doing Vegas for your wedding and want a reception location that's VERY reasonably priced and can offer a "traditional" wedding reception experience, you should consider this place first.
