April is ‪#‎CommunityBankingMonth‬! Did you know that community bank's provide more than 50% of the small business loans in the United States?

At Flagship Bank Minnesota, we are proud to be first responders for banking needs in good times and bad. We put local deposits back to work in the community and take a holistic approach to banking that places a high value on our clients, our community, our employees, our shareholders and the environment. By taking care of these stakeholders, we are building an institution of lasting value.

We couldn't agree more as a community bank serving the needs of small businesses.

"Small businesses of all sizes...said they had much more success and were much more satisfied with smaller banks than big banks, credit unions or online lenders, according to the annual Small Business Credit Survey released Thursday." The Wall Street Journal ‪#‎GoLocal‬

We're glad to be supporters of MetroIBA! As a locally owned bank, we have always serviced, financed, and encouraged locally owned, independent businesses in the Twin Cities region.

MetroIBA's mission is to help the Twin Cities maintain its unique community character, provide continuing opportunities for entrepreneurs, build economic strength, and create an environment where locally owned, independent businesses grow and flourish.

We are always out to support nonprofits doing good things for our communities. Recently, we were able to support the efforts of Fighting Chance Boxing Club which is taking over a vacant fire station in Minneapolis and transforming it into a boxing gym for disadvantaged youth. The space will provide a safe environment for these children to learn discipline and compassion, physical fitness, and self-confidence. Their mission is to empower each person to make positive changes in their life.

Follow the link below to learn more about this non-profit and its mission to help its community.
