+Colin Terrill +Tim Young So, Ozzie's finally out... Other than my first two years with Jerry Manual, Ozzie's the only manager I've known! But this was probably a little overdue. No hard feelings towards Ozzie, I hope he does well with the Fish. Not even Joe Torre could have made Rios into a decent CF or made Adam Dunn hit above .200. I'm curious to see who the replacement is going to be... Ryno? hahaha

Yeah, I haven't heard too much about the search for his replacement, but Sandy Alomar Jr. is an interesting choice, only because I remember when he was a player (I've been a fan for about 10 years now). Like I said, I think it was time for him to go, but I don't blame him either too much for this year's disaster. He's just been the face of the franchise for the past 8 years (basically the post-Big Frank era), it will be strange seeing the White Sox without him.

Welcome to our brave, new world.

Sushi Okalani offers an assortment of delicious sushi rolls and other staples of Japanese cuisine, along with a wide selection of sake and beer. The chefs are all professionally trained and very friendly - eager to take special requests and make recommendations. If you do plan to try out Sushi Okalani, I would advise that you arrive early or go in a small group of two or three; seating is very limited and fills up quickly.

Our dinning experience at Yataimura Maru made for a special and memorable New Year's Eve. Yataimura Maru featured a delicious tempura soba as a holiday dinner special, which I have on good authority to be an authentic New Year's Eve tradition in Japan. Compared to most Japanese restaurants, Yataimura Maru has a more contemporary interior design, and our servers and chefs exuded a welcoming affability that made our evening all the more enjoyable.

I lived here for about eight months, and had a great experience. The rent was reasonable and the floor plans were spacious. It's in a good location -- pretty close to grocery stories and the main roads -- but I never had any issues with noise or crime. There are beaches, parks, and a golf course all within a 5 minute car ride. I feel very fortunate to have found it!

I found Aggie's Grill Station soon after getting off I-440 in North Raleigh. Being new to the area, I had never been to an Aggie's before. I was immediately impressed the moment I walked in the door! The interior decorations are a little idiosyncratic, which makes for a light, fun atmosphere. My server was attentive and friendly. The menu had a nice offering of salads, pasta, burgers, and seafood. Everything was fairly priced. I had a great dining experience and plan to come back in the future.

A sign for Takumi's caught my eye as I was driving north on I-75. I was intrigued by the novelty of having a Japanese restaurant in the back country of Tennessee, so after some hesitation, my wife and I decided to try it out. The restaurant isn't all that impressive on the inside, with some of the paper curtains in the windows showing tears and tatters. When it came to the service, our waitress was a bit curt but did offer plenty of recommendations from the menu. The food itself wasn't especially delicious, but it did exceed my expectations. Much to the chagrin of my wife, there is a special Japanese menu that was not initially offered to us, which features more authentic dishes and was developed (to my understanding) to cater to those Japanese expats working at a nearby Toyota factory. In summary, Takumi's may not be worth a special trip to Caryville by itself; but if you find yourself craving Japanese food while driving I-75, Takumi's will not disappoint.

This Best Western is conveniently located just off I-440, which puts it within 20 minutes of anything in Raleigh. The hotel staff was friendly and my room was spacious and clean. Considering how little I paid for the room, I felt as though I was getting a great deal! A couple notes: - The outdoor swimming pool was closed due to the previous night's rain. - The lobby area was undergoing some renovations during my visit. This didn't at all disrupt my stay, but there was some commotion during breakfast. - The breakfast itself was pretty basic and lacked variety.

The room was large but not adequately cleaned when I arrived. There was a used washcloth draped over the shower curtain bar. I found some small hairs in my bed sheets. There were multiple large holes in the bed comforter. I couldn't connect to the complimentary WiFi network from my room. The front desk seemed friendly during check-in and check-out.
