Great meal and great drinks plus the staff was phenominal. Kenley, our waitress, made the experience comfortable and she was very knowledgeable about everything they're plus we never had to wait for anything. The food was interesting and tasteful and the beer choices were interesting and endless with a craft whiskey I'd go back for.

Edmund's Oast is no doubt hip and has excellent beer choices. The decor is suburb, as is the overall vibe and cleanliness. So why did I give them 2 stars? Service: Our server was unpleasant. I waited tables for years so I gave him the benefit of the doubt and tried to joke with him, but he never once seemed happy about being there. You'd think he would have been pleased to see us, we were a large group and he made $30+ in tips; 18%. (Could have been 20% with better service.) Food: I had the biscuits and gravy, which had a good flavor, but lacked gravy and the bottom half of a biscuit was burned. I would have said something, but with an unpleasant server, and only finding the burnt portion once I'd eaten half, I didn't feel the need to mention it. A member of the party asked for some jam; which is on the menu, and the server said they didn't carry jam. Overall it was a mundane experience, and in the future when we are having a meet up, Edmund's won't cross my mind.

Great beer selection and that's about it. Worst sweet tea I've ever tasted and the pork belly pastrami was more than 75% fat. Cornbread is good at first bite but quickly becomes disappointing. Definitely go for the beer if you must go and ignore the food menu. There are better places to go for just beer though.

Great new place specializing in draft beers and specialty cocktails. We had a terrific brunch with amazing pastrami and biscuits. Cool space with polished concrete floors and a huge bar. Feels like the best kind of hipster Brooklyn transported to Charleston (owners are from NY).

I've been to this place twice, and loved it both times. Its a GREAT place to get beer, that also has some very good food at the same time. I sat indoors once for brunch and outside for dinner and both times it was nice. Indoors it is easy to see the listing of what is on tap from anywhere in the place. You also have a view of the kitchen, the charcuterie hanging up, and the brewery. While the place is very active and hopping, the managers and the wait staff do a great job. I've tried several of the beers there, including the house stuff, and everything is fantastic. No matter the type of beer you are after you will be happy. The food is competitive with items you would find farther downtown, but the prices are more reasonable. This is my new favorite place.
