They KNOW how to take care of people who love horses! We did lots of riding. My daughter passed the lope check the first day and was taken on very advanced rides all week. My sister and I were less experienced riders. We were taken on slightly less challenging rides which improved our skills and confidence. If you go there for the cable TV, cell phone reception, or video game room, you'll be sadly disappointed. If you're interested in awesome western hospitality, a welcoming staff, and time on a horse, this is the place for you! Greenhorn Creek Ranch quickly became a home away from home for me. I can't wait to go back!

Recently visited the ranch and felt it could use some improvement on the Wangler staff. They are very harsh and needless to say need to remember the amount of money folks are paying for their service. They are there to serve us not the other way around. The saddles could use an update as well. Everone else was quite nice however we were there to ride. :(

I'm writing this about two weeks before we leave for the ranch. I first took my family there when my son was a little over ONE year of age. My mom researched many places and we decided to give this one a try. This year will be our 11th straight year. Ralph, Trish, Marty, and the entire staff are some of the nicest, thoughtful, and caring people you will ever meet. The place is gorgeous, and there are many other things to do there (fishing, volleyball, softball, etc) but obviously riding is the main activity, and it's amazing. My daughter (now 19 and at Chico State) met her now best friend there the first couple years, and now several families coordinate their vacations so we are all there during the same week. There are about 12 kids or so, they call themselves the "wolf pack" I think. My daughter and her friend BOTH said the same thing when asked a few years ago if they were going to "outgrow" the ranch, and still want to go, since they were going to be driving, etc. Their response "No way, we will come here forever, and want to get married here!"...and we live in Huntington Beach, a pretty beautiful place as well....Enough said.
