The Hudson Hound

Our goal as a Modern Irish restaurant & bar is to serve you high quality, in season, fresh ingredients using as many local producers as possible.

Bringing contemporary touches to traditional dishes and creating new, innovative dishes from the world around us today.

Even Our Beer is Local

We have chosen 14 local craft breweries, within New York State, to support small businesses and to ensure you have the freshest local brew possible, which are rotated
on a seasonal basis.

…Or Irish

Don’t fret, we pride ourselves on one of the best pints of Guinness on the east coast. Also, we have chosen Crean’s Irish Lager from Dingle, Ireland as a must try.

I did as most people do and stumbled upon this place while I was searching for a brunch spot that also had televisions to watch the game. It was moderately busy but I was greeted promptly by a server but opted to sit at the bar. The bartender (Ebe? Daphne?) was so nice, super attentive and accommodating...and the bloody mary was so, so good! The atmosphere was easy-going and chill, as if a neighborhood bar, but looked more like a Midwestern chain hotel bar. I'd definitely recommend and I'd definitely come back!

Great place, great food. Very friendly staff. A restaurant on one side, a bar on the other. Top Brunch menu btw.

I love it here. This place is our local. Its like our lounge room outside of our apartment. Great atmosphere and ambiance. Fun had every time. Great bar staff very accommodating. The food is great, not typical pub grub, its a mixed selection. Beers on tap and good suggestions from the bar staff. Try the espresso martinis for a hangover, your day will greatly improve!

I had a wonderful time at Hudson House! (recently renamed and remodeled) The atmosphere is very welcoming, and I loved the pork braised tacos from the bar. The owner and the staff are so friendly - it was a lovely way to spend my evening. (:

It's an Irish pub...but nicer. Great place for after work drinks; the menu (bar menu and regular menu) is mostly variations on traditional Irish fare, but done creatively. I loved my beef & Guinness pie, which was served with a puff pastry crust. They also have cheese/charcuterie boards. The front bar gets crowded quickly, especially at happy hour, but there's a second bar in the next room where the crowd is thinner, and you still get good service. Decent cocktails (they don't make a cult out of it), and a good variety of beers on tap. There's also a back room; if you bring enough people & give them notice, they will let you use it for free.

This is an incredibly accommodating business and a restful location for that early evening glass of Gin or Cognac on the rocks. Spacious but, doesn't leave patrons so far apart not to engage in conversation. Sliders are great, the hummus and toast was very tasty — worth a visit, bring a good friend.
