Starting Monday, I'll be part of a competition where the winner will have a bobblehead made for them and given out at a Brazos Valley Bombers game. Go to Facebook and "like" the pages of "KBTX Media" and "Brazos Valley Bombers." Then, for a week starting Monday, you can vote for me. Check out my campaign videos...I think they'll convince you. More to come...

Struggling with allergies? Dr. Barry Paull was on First News at Four to talk about what could be an intense season. Get the tissues ready!

Introduction
Steve Fullhart anchors First News at Four weekday afternoons on KBTX News 3. He joined the Brazos Valley’s news leader in May 2004 and has anchored, reported for and produced every newscast at KBTX over his time at the station.

A graduate of Indiana University, Steve was an anchor, reporter, photographer and producer for public television station WTIU’s award-winning student newscast. Individually, he was recognized as one of Indiana’s top student talents by the Society of Professional Journalists. While at IU, he also called sporting events and anchored sports updates on student radio station WIUS (now WIUX).

Steve also has reported for five different newspapers, was a staff writer for an internationally-distributed magazine for children of military service members, and spent two summers doing radio and television work for the American Forces Network in Kaiserslautern, Germany. During college, Steve interned at KHQ, the NBC affiliate in Spokane, Washington.

Besides being a proud Hoosier, Steve is also proud to be a military brat. His father served more than three decades in the Air Force, and Steve and his parents were regularly on the go during his childhood. He attended seven different schools before college, including three high schools. He graduated from an American school on a British Royal Air Force base.

When he isn’t following the news of the day, Steve tries to keep up with his favorite sports teams. He is a passionate supporter of IU athletics, as well as his professional favorites, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Washington Redskins. You'll also find him at a variety of community events, including for Aggie athletics and the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce.
Bragging rights
The Texas Associated Press Broadcasters has honored Steve with five individual First Place awards since 2008, including a Best Reporter nod and a pair of wins for Online/Special Content for his live blogs during high-profile trials. He also was honored for his commentary following the John Thuesen murder trial. Steve has also won awards from the Houston Press Club and the national Telly Awards. In 2010, the Brazos Valley Coalition Against Domestic Violence gave Steve its Voice Against Violence Award for his live blog during the John Thuesen murder trial, noting "commitment to promoting awareness of domestic violence in Brazos County."
