Week two of being a fulltime freelancer concentrating on comms2point0 fulltime. This is what I blogged when I left. Thank you to the love, support and things to get my teeth into that I've been lucky enough to get involved with since leaving and look forward to the future...

Hugely proud to have contributed to this download about why blogging is a good idea. It's a cracking resource with input from a range of people.

As blogging marks its 20th birthday I've pulled together the views of a group of bloggers to co-create an ebook on the future of business blogging. Turns out that it is in great health but you'll have to read the ebook to find out more.

For a good long while now, I've argued for social media skills tl be given to frontline people. Real people. With a face. Someone that people can relate to rather than a logo. This post about one Environment Agency member of staff Dave Throup is all about that.

Great post, will keep it and it might well help me get the message to others that as +Euan Semple says 'Organizations Don't Tweet, People Do"

This is genius. A matrix for credit for comms teams depending on how much of a success (or not) the thing you are promoting is. Oh, how right it is.

Love the fact that new Brum chief exec Mark Rogers writes a human-looking blog and Twitter... but most of all I love that he told staff to check a link with a lone dancing nut who is giving an unwitting digital leadership lesson. That's epic (and so is the clip.)

Fascinating is this. An absolutely damning assessment of Russia Today's journalism on the Ukraine situation.

Just finished Antony Beevor's 'The Second World War.' You should read it. Didn't know how many gaps in the story I had. The triumph of the EU is not the wine lakes or the butter mountains some would have you think it was all about. It's that it's helped avoid another war like this. And that's quite amazing.

A post about bringing central and local government comms people closer together because we're not from Mars and we're not from Venus.
