Some SAT vocab for you: OBTRUSIVE

OBTRUSIVE means: pushy or aggressively assertive (Ex: obtrusive questions). undesirably noticeable. sticking out; protruding.

Example: Advertising seems to become more and more obtrusive as technology advances--ads on the Moon? Ridiculous!

INIQUITOUS means: evil, sinful, or wicked. extremely unjust or unfair.

Example: There is little that is more iniquitous than the recruiting of young people to join crime circles to increase profits of criminals.

Hi, all! This is it--last day to submit to the UCs. Most of you I know have submitted already, but I suspect there are a few of you out there still waiting.

Do it as early as you can. It can be hard; the servers will be overloaded. Be patient if you can't get through. It may take an hour or two if you wait too long!

You can't climb to the top anymore, I've heard.

askew (ə.ˈskyu): to one side; crooked. not in the proper position (Ex: Things seem askew after moving to another country.). with disapproval (Ex: to look askew).

Hi there! Some good news for those of you affected by the fires in Northern California. College Board has announced that you can take the December SAT for free if you've been affected.

Here's how:
- Register for the SAT as you normally would.
- Call College Board Customer Service at 866-756-7346 (by November 21). Tell them that you've been affected and request a refund.

That's it.

College Board is making the same offer for test-takers in Puerto Rico as well.
