Been playin' around with GoodReader and ReaddleDocs for iOS (iPad), and I decided that, for the same price, it seems like ReaddleDocs is better choice, even though GoodReader has a couple additional features (supposedly). The interface in ReaddleDocs is much cleaner, and easier to navigate. GoodReader, much more cumbersome.

I gotta say, having now used the #Drobo Elite and the #Synology 1511+. Though I love the Drobo. I'd have to say, the Synology blows the Drobo out of the water.
Feature set the DSM is amazing. Drobo has none of it. Control over RAID Volumes, as well as physical, and LUN allocation is so much more granular with the Synology. And this is still not their top of the line device. I still haven't quite test VMware performance on the Synology yet, but working. Perhaps these 2 device deserve a full on comparison review on my blog (http://blog.foreignkid.net) once I had a bit more time with the Synology.

For those of you who use join.me (which is an awesome product), this one takes it a step further by not requiring the user to install anything at all on their machine, and yet still be able to share their screen and allow you remote control for remote support. Check it out:

+logmein seems like they finally got into the storage arena, with their new service, Cubby. (http://cubby.com). Currently, it's still a beta and invite only. Not sure about whether it will become a pay product in the future. However, in its current state, it has the potential to be a huge competitor to DropBox. Even in its Beta stage, it has worked flawlessly for me. A few of the main advantages of Cubby over Dropbox are:
1) You get a free 5Gb of storage in the cloud for free.
2) If you use Peer to Peer sync (à la +GoodSync ) , then your cloud storage remains un-touched, and in this scenario, there is no limit on storage.
3) Complementary to (2), *any* folder can be made a Cubby, and shared with people, or embedded in a public link. A feature that Dropbox has been lacking since its inception, and though they have been working on making this a bit more viable, by allowing users to share folders within the DropBox root, they still don't allow DropBox folders from anywhere within the filesystem. Cubby Wins hands down on this one.

Have you tried this cloud storage yet? and if so, what do you think about it?
You couldn't get to all your information from any device without mobile apps. So we made mobile apps. one giant leap for your stuff. join beta. Thanks for your interest. What's next? Check you...

hmm.. http://dashlane.com may end up being a good contender to Roboform. For now, it's in Beta and free, and, I have to say, quite stable, and full featured. #Dashlane

If you happen to have a Mac and an iOS device, and want to print to an non-Airprint enabled printer, you can use the Airprint Activator utility to make your printer accessible over Airprint from your iOS devices:

What is it: AirPrint Activator v2.0 is the next generation software that will be compatible with OSX Lion. It is a complete re-write of the original v1 version and no longer depend on Apple's supp...

Introduction
Thank you for following my Google+ page for Foreignkid Sc@-tt3r-ed Thoughts. In the recent past, I have realized that a lot of my technical and other discoveries have been long and interesting enough to deserve to be shared, but not long enough for a full fledged blog post. For this reason, I will have the Google+ stream. Please feel free to share any thoughts, opinions, and feedback on anything and everything I post here.
In the meantime, please keep visiting the blog, for more detailed posts, with HowTo's and different technical items.

Again, thanks for the follow. I don't take this lightly, and will do my best to keep this page a valuable resource for you.
