Hi Mr. Frattali,
My name is Raasi Mummareddi, and I am a seventh grader in the Trailblazers team in Carson. As we all know, on Monday, a devastating event occurred in Boston. The bombings. The day afterwards, on April 16, I opened up a public Google Plus community and called it Pray For Boston. I said that for every person that joins, I would be contributing $1 into donation for Boston, hoping that the money would help for reparation, and families with victims of the bombings. In the past one week, I have been getting an overwhelming amount of support on this cause, and right now, Pray For Boston is standing with over 1000 members! I think that this is a great cause, and it could really help Boston. I was hoping that I could try and set up donation flyers and boxes all over the school, so that people could support me on the donations, and so that students can also have the satisfaction of helping out with this tragic event. If every student and teacher donates a minimum of $1, we can have almost $2000. Of course, it wouldn't be mandatory, but if someone wanted to, they could donate. After all, it is for a good cause. Also, I was thinking about setting up an after school club or something like that for people interested in digging deeper and trying to help more. I would really appreciate it if you gave me permission to do this. Set up flyers and boxes all over the school with other students help and all. My goal is to have at least $2500 in donation towards Boston, and I can't do it without your help. I understand that this number is quite extreme, but it is NOT impossible, and I can't afford to think that it is. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
So guys, this is my email to my principal of my gigantic middle school. What do you think? You guys with me on this?
