Eat, pay, and get out. That's the attitude of Peter, one of the owner's of Saul's. If you go there, don't dare linger after dinner over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. You're likely to be accosted by Peter for hogging the table. That's what happened to us when we were at Saul's on a recent Monday evening. On this occasion, we were, in fact, waiting for our order of dessert when this happened. And this is not the first time that Peter has done this to us and others. After the first occasion that he accosted us, we decided to "forgive and forget" on the assumption that he was probably stressed, and we continued to go to the restaurant. We've been regular customers at Saul's for several years and have given them a lot of business. We won't be going back. The rudeness that we experienced is inexcusable. Apparently, the owner of Saul's has no understanding or concept regarding how to keep a customer happy. In fact, one of the restaurant workers who overheard Peter's attack apologized to us and told us that they tried to keep him off the floor. Evidently this is a continuing problem at Saul's. We will be finding friendlier places to eat in the future.

Great deli if you are in the area, but not worth a special trip. I had good Reuben here. the servers were very polite.

Went with a bigger group and tried lots of dishes. Latkes, blintzes, pickles, knishes, french fries, sandwiches and falafel. All great food and very friendly staff!

Been there a number of times. The food is alright, but over priced. Nothing special, but my wife and I would go there from time to time. That is, until I found out that the owner used his political influences in the area to get Off The Grid kicked out of their weekly meeting spot, right there by the restaurant. He felt that it was affecting his profits. If he is that greedy, I'd hate to imagine what else he might do for a profit.. perhaps not buy so many cleaning supplies? Or maybe cook with food that might be past its expiration date. I hate scumbags who use their political influence in this manner. I will definitely never eat there again, not to mention, it wasn't that great to begin with.

Update in 2014 - Much much worse. I've stopped going there, because they've obviously stopped trying. The breakfasts have gotten much, much better. Well worth the 20 minutes you'll have to wait.

Pickles at the table. Traditional Jewish deli, with not enormous portions, reasonably priced. Fills up, friendly staff.
