My family and I having returned from a two week vacation in Seattle and having tasted absolutely marvelous Persian food there decided to try Ahmad's Persian Cuisine in Omaha. The food was simply terrible. The Hommos dish we ordered, was served with cheap tortillas (available in Walmart priced at 24 slices for $2.00). This was instead of Persian or Arabic bread. The Salmon plate and the Kebbab plate we ordered was very small in size - had about five ounces of Salmon and a similar amount of lamb. At the end of the so called meal, we were not given a detailed bill but were charged a sum of $ 51.00 Absolutely terrible. We later went to a nearby Burger King and bought two large portions of fries. Spoiled a beautiful day. Would never go there and recommend that no one does either. Shame on you Mr. Ahmad.

The best Persian food in Omaha. Courteous host, great service and soooooo tasty food. We were filled but still wanted to eat more. Definitely recommended and don't bother about stupid people's low ratings about this place. First experience it by yourself.

I was shocked by how bad this place turned out to be. We wanted to try the food before we committed to ordering more. The service was atrocious, with incredibly long wait times for two appetizers that couldn't have taken more than 4 minutes to prepare. The other reviews on pricing are 100% accurate. It actually took more than an hour to get two appetizers with water. Ahmad's is now an adjective we use to describe the worst restaurants. As for the quality of food, I can also confirm that the baba ganoush was spread as a thin layer on a small plate and came with four half-pieces of toasted tortilla. The falafel was a joke, and was basically plopped onto the plate with a dollop of baba ganoush on each one. 0 presentation, 0 service, and an almost inaudible apology from the one waiter in the entire place. People who came in two groups after us and ordered drinks or entrees were receiving their food before us. This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. It is offensively bad and overpriced. We went to another establishment after that and dropped $50 on much better food and drinks.

I loved it here! Ahmad the owner is very charming & friendly. I took a friend here from out of state and we both enjoyed our dinner! Will definitely be coming back!

I went to the place 15 years ago and thought it was really good. Let's just say that a lot can change in 15 years. It is apparent that the place is on its last legs: very few customers, poor service, crazy prices--especially for what you get. I am not maniacal about portion sizes, but when I spend $7 for some hummus, I expect to get something more than a few spoonfuls spread over a salad plate. And when I get soup, I expect to get more than a few spoons in a small cup (I mean the soup didn't come up past the rounded part of the spoon!) The salad dressing was out of a container clearly. I could go on, but no sense beating a horse. Avoid.

We stopped here in December 2013. The staff was very nice. The restaurant was mostly empty. I had babaganoush and a chickpea dish similar to Indian chana masala, and enjoyed both. The tea was fabulous. My wife had a chicken dish - she thought it smelled and tasted off, but attributed it to being not very familiar with Persian cuisine. About 30 minutes after we left she became violently ill, which lasted for several hours. We suspect it is likely that the two are connected, but of course there is no way to prove it.
