Are we fostering an environment that allows our students and colleagues to bring their "whole selves" to work?

This is an interesting read, especially because in Higher Education we are taught to be able to check our feelings, beliefs, and home lives at the door. This article is a good argument for the opposite.

I agree with by ideas: checking parts of ourselves at the door and bringing our whole selves. There's a time and a place for everything. The question remains: how do we do both when it matters the most?

I'm also trying to learn how to be less "busy." This is what that looks like.

“Research your own experience; absorb what is useful, reject what is useless and add what is essentially your own.” -Bruce Lee

This article is something I closely identify with. Love the dialogue here. Definitely bookmarking and coming back to this in a few days to see how it has shaped my thought.

By far one of the best pieces of writing advice I've ever read. Take notes, friends. This is something you're going to want to bookmark and come back to, if not for advice, at least for a sense of hope with your own writing.

Such a beautiful and heart-wrenching poem from Clive James, who is close to death. Kind of makes the world stop for a second. And then it keeps going.

Working on developing some crucial habits: reading 20 minutes a day (at least), listening to one audio a day, and talking to one of my mentors. These things will help me feed my brain and stay sharp.

Here's a song with a great message. Even cooler than that, someone I went to school with is in it!
I'm featured on a new Watsky track! Check it out!

Interesting opening and closing lines for this trailer. Will probably be enough for me to see it.
Please give a warm Google+ welcome to +Reese Witherspoon, star of the upcoming film Wild. What's your favorite Reese movie of all time?
