Gut Directed Hypnotherapy. WHAT? It is a very real thing. This evidence based therapy has been shown to be very effective for functional gut disorders such as IBS.

As you can imagine when I discussed this topic on my podcast with an expert in this field, Dr Jim Kantidakis from The Gut Centre, I was rather excited and hungry to know more. It’s a fascinating conversation and area of work, one that’s worthy of your fabulous ears. If you like this episode as much as my digestive system obsessed soul, let me know.

I must confess I love communication. I love the use of words to deliver a message and I’m forever curious about how we interact and connect with each other and ourselves.

Communication is a huge part of my clinical practice too. Powerful communication is what helps a patient understand why they should make changes to reach their health goals. I'm always learning how I can do this better.

+Sam Buckingham believes, as do I that everyone has a message and we chat about how to speak your message with heart and impact on the Love & Guts podcast channel.

Sam is a master in this game, she has been a tv presenter and voice over artist for years. I loved this conversation and when you listen you’ll understand why. This is another golden interview that I have unashamedly listened to multiple times before it was made live. Let me know what you think by leaving a review on Itunes.

I had the privilege of interviewing my dear friend +Angela Counsel-Smith on the Love & Guts podcast. We talk about the Maga Woman and living in your own truth without needing the acceptance of others.

Regardless of your gender, there is something in this discussion for us all. I deeply love this woman. She’s been my sanity pill over the years when I’ve had my self limiting drama hat on.

She has a gigantic heart and a feisty drive. Share this episode if you love it and send me a message to let me know your biggest take away.

The confusing world of PCOS 😱. In the latest Love & Guts podcast episode I chat with author, naturopath and absolute legend +Dr Lara Briden about all things PCOS, how to diagnose it, what it is NOT, common misconceptions, and why we are often over diagnosing unnecessarily.

It’s so good that I have already listened to it twice. Have a listen.

If you love it please leave your feedback on Itunes. https://apple.co/2E328jh

It may seem like a small request but it helps more than you know to help Love & Guts find its way into the eardrums of many 🙏

I’ve touched on Lyme Disease and co- infections on the Love & Guts Podcast before but in my latest episode a dear friend and my ex-boss 💪🏻Lara Ryan from +The Best Medicine shares with me and now you her journey through this complicated chronic condition.

She gets honest, practical and gosh darn it if I wasn’t reminded of how much I love to hear this passionate soul speak.

It’s an interesting conversation worth listening to and sharing with those struggling with debilitating chronic illness.

THANKYOU 🙏 for listening and leaving your feedback on Itunes and privately. I don’t say it enough...but it means more than you know.

Have we gone too far with our carb-phobia and do we need to reconsider how much we require for sports performance and as females? We chat about this and so much more in the latest Love & Guts podcast interview with the gorgeous +Kira Sutherland from Uberhealth

Rebecca my friend, this is such an important space you are rummaging in and we are very grateful for your work.

Start spreading the news, I’ll make sure that you SEE me today.

Introducing The Exhibitionist aka the Pop Singer. She has undigested bits hanging off her. She likes to show you what you’ve eaten and how poorly your digestive system has broken it down.

She likes to loudly prove a point! You’ll find her lurking or shall I say, gallivanting around in your toilet bowl when you are experiencing maldigestion (incomplete or impaired digestion) and malabsorption (poor absorption of nutrients from food).

She may be a sign of gut dysbiosis (putrefaction or fermentative), poor meal hygiene (wolfing food down), low stomach acid, or she may be trying to tell you that your pancreas feels neglected and needs some love.

Even though she’s fun to look at and loves the attention, don’t encourage her as she may extend her stay and you, my friendly host will begin to feel the pains and ills of someone who is not benefiting from the food aka fuel ⛽️ and information you consume.

If your poo is rather bitsy, far to often, investigate further. Your “exhibitionist” poo person is giving you valuable information about how your human plumbing is working.

If you don’t know how to turn this around seek the support of a health practitioner like myself who loves unlocking the mysteries of dodgy human plumbing. To schedule an appointment with me 🌹 visit https://bit.ly/2eJLddP Illustration by +Joel Tarling and conjured up in my brain. Thanks Joel for bringing my poopeeps to life.

New Love ❤️ & Guts #podcast episode is live.

This week I chat with molecular geneticist +Margie Smith from SmartDNA

We get into how knowing your DNA can help prevent chronic disease such as obesity, cognitive decline, diabetes etc.

We also bust some myths about DNA testing and chat about how this genetic profiling tool is a useful preventive machine and not designed to instil fear & anxiety.

I am a big fan of genetic profiling and wish I could do it on everyone. If you want to get your DNA tested click on https://bit.ly/1WAG06f

If you enjoy this episode take a screen shot of this pic and share it with someone who may be interested in preventative health and living their best life possible!
