Just posted my April 2016 column "80/20 Consumer Electronics" (http://rmf.vc/IEEEBlinky). I describe how I learn by doing. It does create a challenge because I find myself talking about the next generation of possibilities (and problems).

With FB and Tweetdeck (Ok, Twitduck app now that TD has been discontinued) I post to both Twitter and FB.

Is there any reason I should also be posting to G+

Should I post pointers here to my old essays on replacing the DNS? The important point is not to replace the DNS with another central source of leased identity but rather take an approach that separates mechanism from policy and monetization.

That said there is an interim approach like with bit.ly offering identifiers that never get reused.

Because we can do the web and other high value applications we assume that the Internet works. But it's the simple things that are the building blocks of the future and, as I explain in http://rmf.vc/CILight - we can't do something as simple as sending one bit from a light switch to a light bulb without jumping through a myriad of hoops and, in the end, that's not enough.
