I have to say I thought It's a Small World was a heavenly ride at Disney World when I was four AND I loved the song then. Now, I'm more fond of A Spoonful of Sugar.

Today I got awesome stuff in the mail: a book about Twitter (I know, awful) with an actually very good intro by Seth MacFarlane, a new cd by Joey Ramone (YES) and a very sweet book called Darth Vader and Son.

I'm pulling audio for Renee Montagne's book chat at Google tomorrow. Listening to a story from our archives about Rwanda from 1994 and Ann Taylor is doing the newscast at the top. She talks about North Korea not allowing UN inspectors of nuclear facilities.

What is strange is the same people in America who are yapping on about the USA government trying to police the world and how wrong it is are the very people who are promoting the KONY 2012 video, talk about hypocritical.

Overnight... what fun, eh? :clinks mug:

My local NPR station (KUAR) was on autopilot this morning. Only the national feed played- no local news or announcements at all until 6:30. It was a bit eerie.

Had my mind blown this week at TED -- even more in the conversations off stage than the ones on stage. It makes me profoundly optimistic to know how many seriously smart, committed people are out there doing brilliant things.
