I captured this photo because of the colors in the buildings on the other side of the river — missing the more interesting scene of the locals holding umbrellas as they looked out over the Huangpu River. I used my iPad & Snapseed App for post processing.

Somewhere today, in a high-tech / low-presence clean room, a NEXUS-6, serial number N6MAA10816, replicant will be completed — inception date, January 8, 2016. A combat model for off-world use, the male replicant will go by the name, Roy Batty .....

..and be played by Rutger Hauer in the Ridley Scott's classic thriller, Blade Runner (1982). Years from now, as his auto-termination moment arrives, he will say, "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears...in...rain. Time to die."

I'm not going to let such an obscure, yet significant sci-fi date slip past you. ;-)
